Hernyolar: I also need advice too ooo. My baby is almost 11 months and doesn't eat adult food except fish and meat. He takes cerelac 1kg for 5 days and NAN for 1 week. And it jst one person that sells the Nigeria cerelac around my area. A day came when I was stranded, I then bought nutribom It's 300g and sold for #500. I used it for 4 days. It rises like yeast. After buying the 3rd pack, ooh, I noticed it doesn't have nafdac number . I stopped with immediate effect and went back to cerelac. I'm planning on buying purity on Saturday. Mamas in this forum said it's nice. I don't know how many grammes but it's #600. |

@Hernyolar, its a good thing ur baby s taking adult food. What u can do, is to reduce frequency of d cerelac. For eg, if u used to hv her 3-4 times a day u reduce to once or twice.U shld still continue giving her formular plus BM so she gets required nutrients. Personally, I think cerelac s one of d cheapest cereals in d market. Most others are more expensive. Pap nko? Its way cheaper and nutritious too. Well done mama. 1 Like |

tchiwinnie: Thanks ma'am. That is an option too but lil madam has to start school at some point. As per getting a nanny,i need mamas in d house who have been lucky to get good ones to help out with their connection o. The one i have dt is leaving in december isnt actually a professional nanny. She happens to be a mum to my cousin's friend and when she heard i was stranded last year when i was resuming work and didnt have anyone, she offered to come and help.she has been so good to us and takes very good care of my LO.just thinking about how we will cope when she's gone makes me sad.Replacing her is a major issue now cos i dont know if i can use any of these agencies with all d scary stories we hear everyday. I used dem once and dey sent me a 22yr old girl whi didnt last more than a month. All she ever did was browse on her phone make calls to her boyfriends and eat all d food in d house. She cldnt even change a diaper but had to teach her. Eventually i found out frm d security guy that anytime i sent her to buy drinks or whatever, she was seen kissing and doing all sort with some guy on our street. Barely 1month and already has a boyfriend in d area. Dts y i decided i wld rather go for an elderly person who has experience being a mum and isnt crazy about social media and all cos dts what really distracts these young ones. So anyone with an idea of where i can get a mature nanny shld pls help out as i will be needing one by December. Thanks lovely people and Happy Independence 3 Likes 1 Share |

Btw d serving size indicated Is 50g, any idea how many scoops that might be? Anyho gave my baby 5scoops n 2scoops of his formula (aptamil), that ok? TX dear |

Good day mamas, Happy independence. Please Mamas, do I need to add the same number of scoop of formula to the pap I give my LO as suggested on the feeding table? Remeber that the feeding table talks about water and formula, not pap and formulr, and pap is thicker than water. I just want to know so as to be guided. Thanks. |

cancerlib: Oh thats good, i do 3 scoops n 1 scoop of formula (Enfamil) cos enfamil scoop is big. You can try pap (corn, millet and soya). Amala and Ewedu - i also give my baby Amala and ogbonno soup, soyamaize. I tried very soft watery plain noodles today and she whooped it down. 1 Like |

Mamabigboy: The sweetness of pap is actually the milk but i dont follow any rule. The quantity am feeding her at that time determines the number of scoop i use. e.g 60ml of pap - i use 1 scoop of enfamil mixed in very little bottled water since the pap is already hot. I noticed when i add too much milk, my daughter doesnt take it, so this guide works for me. 2 Likes |

Hello dear Cerelac naija is not only maize. It's up 3 varieties. One of d major difference btw cerelac naija and foreign cerelac is d lid of both containers. D naija own has transparent lid and some has normal tin lid. The foreign cerelac has yellow lid all around. rezzy: |

mamas that give their lo pear ( I hope that's same thing they call avocado o!) how do u preserve it since ur baby isn't likely to finish it all at once. can I freeze or refrigerate it till d next day or time ? thanks |
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by MiracleMum(f): 10:23am On Oct 02, 2015 |
joyousf: Obviously, baby cant eat an entire avocado even though it's nutritious and has a buttery flavour and texture. It's advisable to mash or puree half the flesh and wrap the other half with the pit still inside to keep it from getting brown. You can also store pureed avocado in ice-cube trays. |
