While I abhor damaging any persons chance of livelihood, if only for the short term, but these collection of violators were giving due notices.

One idgit even said they gave them until the 4th to move out instead of the 1st. Dunce, a prudent person would have moved out last month ahead of the demolitions.

Nigerians, please reawaken to a new day. Business as usual is being kicked the frack out to the curb.

This is not the first time and will not be the last BUT why am happy is that whom God has blessed no man can curse.

The Igbos will always rise above this and will still be above other tribes. The fighting and hardworking spirit is inborn.

The fulanis are busy killing the yorubas and they are dying without doing anything....but they decide to demolish the shops of innocent and harmless Igbos.

The God of Igbos will always triumph.

I remember people calling PMB an old man and insisting that the Nation needs the younger generation of leaders. What a laugh? Read comments on Nairaland forum and see how dark the hearts of the so called younger generation are with tribal hatred.
I weep for my beloved Country.

Now that this has happened. I command, let motor spare parts spring forth in all angles in Lagos and environs. Sometimes, we need to decentralised our markets to widen the prospect of that particular business. I'm thinking of having a mini-auto spare parts market @ Atan Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota local govt.

I am worried reading Yoruba people here rejoicing that the Igbo man's business has been demolished.
I never knew there is so much hatred for the Igbo man.
But the truth remains that Injustice somewhere is injustice everywhere.
It could be you tomorrow!!!

I won't blame the traders for their reluctance to move out because

The shops were NOT THEIR SHOPS. They always were tenants. The tendency is for a long standing tenant to start feeling entitled. No matter how long a houseboy lives with a family he does not become their child.

After the shops are developed old tenants have no rights to return .They can apply and be considered like any other entity

This is sad though, but I think the government is trying to develop the market. The only problem here is will the modern market after completion be awarded back to these IGBO traders.

This is the only market I know we buy our second hand or Belgium spare parts as it is popularly known.

May God help us. cry cry cry

God did it for the children of Israelites and will do same for them.

Just as God delivered the people of Is real from the wicked hatred hands of Egyptians so will God deliver the Igbos from the wicked hand of Yoruba s

Am proudly IGBO. I dont blame the yourbas for this bullshit. If we had developed eastern nigeria. No1 will treat us like this. Cant we take this our business back home. I blame igbos for our own misfortunes and it will not stop until we stop wailing and develop our own.

They are rejoicing because Eboes are disrespectful. When they come anywhere and do well they start insulting the hosts go and ask Ikwerres. They should learn to do business and keep their mouths shut and not offend local sensibilities. There are many families that have settled in Lagos from northern Nigeria and now accepted as natives a good example is the Oshodi family. Eboes on the other hand will always show themselves "Lagos is no man's land,Eboes developed Lagos,Eboes must rule................."
Well the original hospitality shown to the Eboes will be withdrawn as they show their true colours. Back to the Ikwerre issue where Eboes lost a lot of property compared to Ibadan and Lagos after the war where their property was intact. There is nothing anyone can do to please Eboes they will never be grateful and their mindset is wherever they are they must dominate. In that regard I must confess Ahmadu Bello was right

This people don't know that igbos are wise.

I can still vividly remember how fashola demolished tejuosho market at yaba to build a shopping mall all in the name of Reconstruction.

It is almost 2years they have finished building and commisioned that tejuosho market. Infact, they have commisioned it 3 times, yet the place is empty, desolate and rottening. Make yoruba traders go collect the shop na. I always laugh anytime I pass there, you will see girls dancing while music is being played, begging igbo men to come collect shop.

Hahahahahahah!!! They should continue to demolish all the markets, no problem. They will demolish and demolish and demolish till they realize that there is no more revenue to collect.

I implore my igbo brothers to go start a huge motor parts market in the south-east were the whole of africa can come an patronise them, like how innoson located his motor plant in Nnewi. All this petty actions by the yorubas could turn out to be a blessing to Ndigbo at the long run, while they loose out totally.

Please, my people go to tejuosho market today... they are just paying security there for nothing, over 2years now. We don get sense.

And every citizen is always saying i love my country, Nigeria. Nigeria is not a country, It is a collection of dysfunctional people living in close proximity to one another. Too many tribes, too many deep rooted hatred for one another and too much distrust. There is no way Nigeria will be prosperous. It is not just possible. A house divided amongst itself will fall, it is inevitable. Thank God i relinquished that burden of being called a Nigerian a long time ago. Sometimes i miss it, but each time i visit NL i am reminded of why i took that decision and i wake up to reality. I thank God for my life.

did an IGBO man say that in the outside world or are you tagging them as "disrespectful" just because of online ethnic brawls?
