International Corruption Unit (ICU)

The International Corruption Unit (ICU) investigates:

Bribery of foreign public officials by individuals or companies from the UK; and
Money laundering by corrupt foreign officials and their associates.

The ICU will also:

Trace and recover the proceeds of international corruption;
Support foreign law enforcement agencies with international anti-corruption investigations;
Engage with government and business to reduce the UK’s exposure to the proceeds of corruption; and
Work with business to support increased compliance with the Bribery Act 2010
The ICU draws on the specialist support available to it within the NCA, and works closely with other UK law enforcement agencies and overseas partners.

In line with the UK Anti-Corruption Plan, the ICU replaces the MPS Proceeds of Corruption Unit and the City of London Police Overseas Anti-Corruption Unit.

I honestly don't know why naij can't arrest its criminals by itself...and these plonkers always have to wait for the UK to do it, yet the country is an independent country. Just so you know - the UK did this for its own interest cos I'm sure they know how much she stole and they have been watching her for a long time. And at least 60% of whatever she stole and her assets in the UK belongs to the UK...naij would be extremely lucky to get 30%.

This has nothing to do with ya snail-slow president - this is the UK catching a big fish that they have been watching closely for a long time.

How come no one heard of her leaving the hospital after discharge or was the arrest done in the hospital.

She should go and take court injunction to stop her prosecution!. That is what Nigerian political thieves always do. U think u are in Nigeria where the judiciary can be bought cheaply. If it had happened in Nigeria some people would have cried "witching hunting" while a weak ex-president would have said "persecution of my ministers". They forgot that nobody loves a witch! Even the bible clearly states "suffer not the witch to live". This implies that not even a prison is needed for a witch.
