people have been calling babangida a corrupted individual for almost 2 decades now, and we haven't seen case of corruptions against him, same goes to tinubu I'm tired of seeing this new generation political analyst of nairaland always calling tinubu a corrupt politician. I'm not here to support tinubu but until any corruption charges is levelled against tinubu to me his not corrupt. I dare anyone for who calls tinubu corrupt should come forth with list of corrupt practices tinubu has committed with concrete proves we shouldn't allow bigotry and hatred take over our thinking. Peace

He owns too much, and his contribution to the common purse is not commensurate to what he owns, so Nigerians are asking ho come Tinubu owns this. He is not an industrialist but a politician, so how come. 6 Likes 1 Share |

mikolo80: Broda, that not how to tackle corruption, if we must get it right there should be no sentiment. Stalin of USSR had to send his father to siberia inorder to instill discipline and prove that there are no sacred cow in his fight against corruption and impunity, if Tinubu wealth is not legally gotten he should turn it over to the State, Murtala Muhammed as Head of State, we heard, did it. Tinubu as Kingmaker should do same to kick start the CHANGE. 2 Likes |

Okanokan:after all the siberia is russia a good place now anything built on wrong foundation will collapse there are always sacred cows can you sacrifice your father or your brothers and sisters don't deceive yourself my brother carrots work better than sticks btw corruption is not always illegal unethical yes but not illegal and very difficult to prove in court if i give you contract for 1million and you have profit of 10% and i collect 5% from you how will they prosecute me(i collected cash, no receipt) that is what tinubu did with lagos land he buys it for 1million sells for 1 billion how do you prove that kind of case unlike dem madueke that just carried the money ho-ha(outright embezzlemnt) besides the money these people have can slow down any case till 8years reach and you leave the place better to giv them amnesty so long as they invest the money here imagine 400 billio invested in palm oil cocoa manufacturing sports tourism housing transport power manufacturing(tinubu electronics, atiku washing machines, madueket tile factory, refinery etc) they can all build stadia and large scale housing projects which will employ carpenters, bricklayers, panters, plumbers eectricians who wll in turn spend on teachers, foodstuff sellers, doctors etc forget the sentiment of seeing peoople in jail i a democracy yes if baba had won with cpc or through military rule but not now with ppl like tinubu and obasanjo in his corner like i said half loaf is better than puff puff abi yo wprefer full blown hunger no contract no nothing |

mikolo80: Broda there are no half measures in this fight, there are no cutting corners. If we allow warped proposals, like what you are selling now we can as well bid bye-bye to Nigeria, if Lim kwan Yu did that in Singapore and Xiaoping in China, they will not be where they are today. Mikolo80 your thought process on this matter is too simplistic, let Buhari take on corruption headlong, leadership is about taking HARD DECISIONS and most time to your detriment. For Nigerians to believe Buhari he must take or rein in his close supporters and sponsor if we must get it right. Finally every revolution eats up its leaders. This Change will also eats up its leaders and founders. |

Okanokan: exactly and fighting corruption head on is a half measure for surely, it will fight back and it will win we're talking billions of dollars weak minded judges that will slow down cases hungry police that will let them escape to where you will never catch them or the money hungry officials that will disappear files and evidence for mere change 'half bread my brother I repeat is still better than puff puff
Lee Kwan Yew was the godfather of his party Buhari is not if he engages tinubu he will be impeached like they did him during military era or even assassinated these criminals will rather see Nigeria burn in Civil war than go to jail Mao did all these things you're saying and failed for 30 yrs Deng came and did what I am saying and China rose from the ashes. it is you my friend that should stop the simplistic and emotional thinking Abi you think if I have billions you will Just come and arrest me like that. I will snuggle my self out to non extradition country you will never find me and after your 8 years I come back.
giving amnesty is a HARD decision I also want to see them pay for their crimes but I prioritise 170 milliom Nigerians welfare over vendetta mentality. if they go to jail and refuse to return the money nko. who lose. I prefer to encourage them to come and spend the money here instead of abroad we need jobs not jailbirds well no point starting revolution if you're not going to finish it remember that's how nzeogwu started us and were still on it 50 yrs later |
