I still remember the independence bombing attributed to MEND but which was denied...I also believe not ALL bomb blasts are Book Haram initiated. Some MIGHT be from highly-placed detractors and enemies of our common good. And finally, a GOAT is arrested yesterday in faraway land and TWO BOMBS explode in Nigeria (ABUJA)Hmnnn..I wonder why I have a feeling the bombs are diversionary?..

I'm of the opinion that "we wrestle not ONLY against boko haram but against principalities and powers.." Our intelligence units need to step up their games

The current trend of activities by Boko Haram is on the rise as statistics has shown. One of the key area responsible for this is on the issue of high turnover rate of key personnel of the security agencies. This is due to continous interference in leadership.
I don't subscribe to the President's interfering with Intelligence operatives activities. They should be allowed to run with some level of autonomy regardless of who is in power. If BH were changing personnel the way the Nigerian government is doing they would not have been this successful.
Boko haram is not an issue that requires a political solution.
It shouldn't even be a campaign promise. It shouldn't be a political party obligation.
If it is my question is,What happens when Buhari leave the seat of power?
The solution to Boko haram is strong security institutions like the Military,SSS and other Intelligence Institutions.
Most importantly the citizens in those regions must cooperate and make information available to authorities.
Issues of Security cannot be left to politicians. As we all know they are always after their personal gains for the short periods they have.
The cost of politiking with the nation's security is too high a price.
Everyone will be affected by it directly or indirectly.
Once again I want to say that strong secuirty institutions that will not be anyone's puppet not even the presidency is what we must build.
This is not about GEJ or PMB,it is about us and our unborn generations.

I strongly condemn those who perpetuated this attack and those politicians who come out to condemn those who perpetuated the attack. History has taught us they mastermind all these.

If I had a higher institution, u'd probably get a doctorate degree for this!

That said, it's quite logical.... Boko Haram is just a brand name, the bombing process has been heavily hijacked! God bless Nigeria

The terrorists would have used d salah breaks n October 1st public holiday to migrate from der enclave to travel to Abuja n other places. The military should be proactive rather than reactive. They should stop all dis media show-off. Hit dem hard n always. Also from intelligence gathering thru d video released by BH on youtube celebrating Salah in Sambisa, I expected d military to hit d place with constant n intermittent airstrike to dislodge them. It seems d battle is far from being won. I pray victory for our gallant soldiers. Seems d airforce is not actively part of dis war.

Have they not been hitting them hard?

Which war has your military ever won ? Not even convincingly without begging foreign powers

To those blaming Buhari, take a chill pill. If u guys were in his shoes, u wouldn't have done any better...instead of shoving blame, let's support our president and Nigeria with prayers...

Are you serious? If he could not do any better then he could not in fact do any better than Jonathan after all.

So why did Nigerians vote him in then?

Let's face facts.....not many people here would immediately make Abuja more vulnerable by removing the command and make Nigeria more fragile by removing checkpoints.

BH have not even changed tactics. We know they bomb motorparks, mosques, markets and target the police and military. How has Buhari directed these places to be more secure against bombing?

It is a shame that they have been able to bomb Nyanya again and come after the police.

If Buhari was not up to the task he should not have made empty threats about defeating BH.

They do what they like and there is nothing Buhari can do about it....clearly.
Some of us knew this while others were chanting change.

I am worried this menace has defied all strategies. Annihilating them would have been the best and absolute solution but they have already permeated the fabric of the society that more tact approaches need to be evolved.

Obviously, killing them is not putting an end to their activities neither is the olive branch being offered them by the FG making them change their ways.

President Buhari needs to put BH and North-East as the most important issue in the nation. There can never be any meaningful progress if we continue having internal war of our people on our people. He has initiated some measures but cerebral approaches need to be developed, experimented and results constantly monitored.

People need to be told the truth - no one stepping on Nigerian soil is safe from possible attack from the new methods being adopted by the insurgents. They poisoned drinking water and suicide is nothing to them, they can poison food, and do much worse to anyone and anywhere in Nigeria.

+ Awareness should be serious and consequential. We need to stop deceiving ourselves - we all should panic as the threat is real from Maiduguri to Abuja to Lagos to Port-Harcourt.
+ Government should continue the friendly methods but care for and keep a good surveillance of those who are laying down their arms.
+ The popular motivations among the insurgents should be scientifically analyzed. These motivations must be diluted.

This is an opportunity to use all the budgeted Security Billions to equip and motivate security personnel especially those directly involved in NE and other troubled spots. Modern security is powered by technology and not human.

- All potential attack location should be put on security code red at least for the next 6 months
- Heavy technology areal and ground monitoring should be adopted.
- Nigeria Satellites or contiguous ones should be kept busy all over NE as long as necessary.
- Millions of wireless cameras can be installed in less than two weeks all over strategic NE locations. 100s of movable control rooms for surveillance can be fabricated within 2 months.
- 1000s of wireless alarm network system can be installed in strategic location connected to control rooms.
- Security operatives trainings should be more technology driven than brawn powers.
- Security operatives should be retrained, motivated and given all due benefits.
- People who have no business at all being security operatives should be paid off immediately.
- All reported threats from citizens should be assumed real, immediately investigated and no apology is required for false alarms.
- Police stations and environs should be equipped with modern CCTV cameras, control rooms, alarm networks and other modern communication gadgets.

God bless Nigeria

My friend lets wait till after the raining reason (when the water level in the dams is high) is over, only then can you ascertain if Power has improved or not.
Nigerians are very easy to deceive. Thanks be to Yahweh Am a BIAFRA!

The mugu you quoted failed to realize that power supply improved greatly (if not better) during Prof Berth time as Power n Steel minister. So having an increased power supply is no big deal. Moreover, in my area, Satellite Town, Lagos, we've been enjoying darkness for long now, Prince and Princess Estate in Abuja just followed suit, around third junction in Benin city also have power supply rationed to them and sometimes, they don't even get to see the power, Awka, same old bullshit. I also went to Enugu, nothing spectacular about power supply there. Theses are places I travelled to within just these past three months.

Just the other day, some people protested at Ikeja DisCo as regards power supply. I wouldn't be surprised the mofo u quoted no longer has up to 7hours power supply pa day but yet will lie about it so that he had something to hold hands on (grasping at straws) while supporting mediocrity and failure.

So far, Buhari has been a cataclysmic failure but he seems so comfortable doing absolutely nothing when he has worshippers and balls lickers ready to die for him even if he doesn't perform. We are in for a long ride and thank God I developed a tough skin and expected the worse so if eventually, nothing good happens then I will always cope. I pity people who worship him tho.

Truth is, apc supporters are hand-picked.

The top criteria being a single-digit IQ.

These days I don't bother trying to discuss with them, their cases are congenital and little can be done about it.
Whenever I come across their "shallow" posts, I just shake my head in pity and scroll past their public display of foolery.

I think you should do the same. wink

The fact Nigeria brown paper jonalist refuse to write on it does not mean we don't get news from there coming out.
