Maiduguri Sunday Explosions, Routine Equipment Testing – Army by iliyande(m): 2:24pm On Oct 04, 2015

The 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri on Sunday said the early morning explosion in the out-skirt of Maiduguri emanated from routine testing of military equipment.

Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, Speaking to newsmen on Sunday, spokesman of the Division, Col Tukur Gusau, urged residents not to panic.

“It is a routine test firing of our weapons to ensure that they are in a state of readiness,” he said. (NAN)

We understand...routine testing of your equipment by bokoharam.

Do they even know the meaning of routine?

Why do you need to test equipment when it is being used in active service?
Are they for fancy?

......but they supposed to have made this announcement first at least to reduce tension and fake reports like this, now vanguard had reported that ten people died which now bring us to the role of journalism and news reporting......someone will be under air condition in Lagos, will be breaking news that happened in remote villages first in far north because they relied so much on their correspondents that are far away from the area of blasts with fake assumptions. I believe that by the time the media house(S) writes detail later, they are cooking up stories that will make the story real,
