The agreement will cover activities aimed at reducing extreme poverty in a more stable and democratic society between 2015 and 2020. These activities Harvey said will stimulate inclusive economic growth, promote a healthier, more-educated population, and strengthen good governance. “This agreement will provide a solid foundation for our two countries to partner together to reduce inequalities across the country,” Harvey said. The agreement will also align Nigeria’s development plans with sector-specific strategies in various ministries including: health, agriculture, powerand state level government counterparts. Harvey also commended Osinbajo and the National Planning Commission for their leadership and support of all the activities under the agreement. This US/Nigeria agreement comes after President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the US and his participation at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/10/nigeria-receives-23-billion-from-us-for.html#sthash.o1RAOrvE.dpuf cc lalasticlala |

Republlican: What we know is that if Jonathan were still president, the money would be finished in one year and he himself would not know how and why. This is the first time Nigeria is receiving a grant of this size from the US in 40 years. 4 Likes 1 Share |
