The marriage contract gets terminated the moment one of the parties dies , so a widow or widower is no longer under any oath the moment the spouse is gone .

Anyway, going by my own belief, she has to stay a while (maybe months) mourning him... She could end up being taken over by a deceased's relative for a wife . Now, is that what you'll call absurd? That will mean whatever that contradicts this submission( my belief) is absurd
