The Elections Petitions Tribunal siting in Akure, Ondo State, has nullified the election of Victor Akinjo as member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency of Ondo State.
The tribunal nullified the election and ordered fresh polls on the grounds that Mr. Akinjo was not a bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party at the time the election was held.

Per the bolded, it is arrant nonsense. How would this idiotic tribunal discern who is a bone fide and not? Nigerians and their idiocy will make a good case study. The dude was either a member or not.

If the last paragraph is the basis for the nullification, then something is definitely wrong with the justice system.

The best option for the tribunal would have been to give the victory to the runners up in the PDP primary.

Hope this injustice does not go unchallenged?

Victor Akinjo aka Vakama was SUG president at OAU,Ife when OBJ came campaigning for election in the 90s. He was the one that pleaded on behalf of baba Iyabo before he could escape being linched by Ife students.

He left the progressives to join PDP and that has paid off for him.
