I am the first born of my father. i have three other siblings. And about the land in question it is valued at 9,500,000 I made a mistake It isnt sold We also have a house which we are currently building. I don't know if that can stand as an asset montrealer: |

AverageNed: I still think you need to proof you have sufficient funds. Could be in form of fixed deposit, savings or anything that can be easily converted. Having land and other fixed assets is good, but that shows family situation and probably home ties....... I stand to be corrected though, but I think the VO is interested in seeing the funds to be committed to your studies. Talk to your dad if there's any way he could raise his acct balance (could be a loan, or just grants from friends) to minimum of say 5m (for Graduate Prog) and say 9 to 10m (for Undergraduate). He's your father, and the VO knows he'll go to any length to sponsor you, so even if he's having just 4m, it will be preferred to that of uncle or friend or company sponsoring you with 6m balance. I'll advise you get the study permit guide for Nigeria on CIC site, and read it through. |

Oh that's good news, the land can stand. Don't think you need to put the one you're building in. I think you're good to go. It's true they'll take into consideration your 3 siblings but with the good flow and strong current balance, you should be ok. Of course, back it with prayers . You can check out how @deedee0 's presented her finances, she also has younger siblings in school but she presented in a way that worked in her favor. All the best, no need to be down, work on getting your dad's account beefed up & victory is ahead. ****edited: @ayooluwatoni makes some good points. Liquid money usually makes a stronger case. Rolandy 's case is different, he can actually work full time once he has his sin number, he's to resume in january, so he's not breaking any rules. The other person, is to resume already and wants to defer/take a break to work and make money. I know someone that got in before resumption date and worked fulltime before school resumed in sept, and off course it was legal. @the soj, @tnuola @sholay11/midnight paris ,@team12, This question is posed on behalf of my best friend- She wants to apply NOW for a Fall 2016 admission. is that right? |

[quote author=ayooluwatoni post=38706789] Hello. Pls when you had your medicals at consultant practice, how long did it take for your acc to be updated to medicals under review or passed. Or do you know how long it takes generally for cic to get d medicals. I did mine on Thursday. Thanks |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by thesoj: 4:04pm On Oct 06, 2015 |
bosypumpin:Once again, this is misinformation. I already posted this CIC link that states that you must be enrolled and be a full-time student before you can legally work. Starting work before initial enrollment is therefore illegal. Having an SIN number is not what exclusively determines if you are legally authorized to work... CIC's website is written in clear English... I don't understand why you are propagating this misinformation. If you disagree, then show proof from CIC. bosypumpin:Same situation. It doesn't matter. It is illegal. No one's opinion on here (including mine) trumps whatever is on CIC's website. You do realize that if too many Nigerians abuse the Canadian student visa system, they may change their visa application policies to be even more unfavorable. 3 Likes 1 Share |

It means it's time to party! Read the approval mail carefully (there should be a PDF attached), and you will understand it means that your visa has been granted. Congrats. ajaereogechi: 2 Likes |

saxywale: Lmao. Saskatchewan hasn't got big cities like Calgary or Edmonton. Most people like the hustling and bustling of the bigger cities. Regina is a quiet place. I don't even like to call it a city... na quiet and modest town. |
