stacey05: Yes it does..however, that does not mean that you will be given a visa at first application, chances are that you will be refused and given on appeal. First you need to meet the requirements and be honest in your application. |

stacey05: On first attempt, expect rejection. And even on appeal, they would still flex their muscles, albeit they know their hands are tied, due to change in circumstance(s) Right to Family life cannot be deprived or denied!!! |

Hello House, How do I know if they have my correct email address. My initial application was done directly by the lawyer and summited, so all the information from Home office go to the lawyer and they'll them forward the message to me. But the relationship between the lawyer and me had since ended. I am not too sure if Home office have my email address. So how do I make sure they have my correct email? Where do I need to write to? |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Lexusgs430: 8:07am On Oct 01, 2015 |
Winso26: Unfortunately, all correspondences would still be sent to the Lawyer. The Home Office would not know you have severed relationship with your Lawyer. Do you have your application reference number? |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Winso26: 3:06pm On Oct 01, 2015 |
but I informed them of the problem during the appeal. I ever wrote a letter to that effect to the appeal department. It was noted, but I am not too sure if they change centrally. I have the application reference number. Regards, Winso26 |

stacey05: Be honest with your immigration record with UK visa application, don't hid any previous refusal. Getting a lawyer to write an appeal about what? That you were banned wrongly or what? You are only going to make bad situation worst. |

Congrats newbie, Please I submitted the document to UK Visa and Immigration POBOX 3468 POSTCODE S2 8WA, I tracked it with royal mail and it's been signed by someone called McKenzie 2days after. However I have not received an email from the Homeoffice to say that they've received my documents. I only received email from ECO that Your online application has been received in Sheffield, UK. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer. Please note that if you have lodged your Settlement application in the Caribbean region or Nigeria you must ensure that your UK sponsor has sent all relevant supporting documentation to the visa section in Sheffield. We will not start to assess your application until we are in receipt of these. Please note that UKVI aims to complete all Visit Visa applications within 15 working days and all Settlement Visa applications within 12 weeks of the application date. If it is not possible to complete your application within this timeframe a member of our team will contact you to explain why. If you have paid for Priority Service, your application will be placed in front of the queue and assessed ahead of other non-priority visa applications. As indicated in the terms of service, the amount paid for the priority service, as well as the visa fees, is not refundable if the visa application is refused or if the decision is delayed. Please I need your help newbie, is it the right addy, if it is, how come I have not gotten any email? newbie715: |

goodday house, i plan applying for the uk spouse visa. my wife just had a baby last april hasn't worked for a long time (1+year). i plan applying this oct because she cant stay alone with the baby due to the several surgeries she had as a result of childbirth complications. she got a job in liverpool to start nov 27 and we plan to all go together. i plan to sponsor the application. what can i do please. thank you. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Lexusgs430: 3:07am On Oct 07, 2015 |
papiwos: Its not about you sponsoring the application. The shoulder of responsibility is on your wife, based on the type of visa you intend applying for. Does your wife have all the relevant documentations to support your application? |

Oh ic, thx newbie...Actually I received an email saying this below (for those who are concerned like me about sending to a different address) Dear Ma, Both postal addresses deliver post to the same post room within UK Visas and Immigration and the post is then sorted and forwarded to the relevant department. Regards S.H. Correspondence Unit - UK Region Home Office - UKVI - International Operations & Visas 4th Floor, Vulcan House (Iron), 6 Millsands, Sheffield, S3 8NU www.gov.uk/home-office newbie715: |

Hi Newbie, Since I sent the documents to S3 8WA, and I didn't send to Vulcan house, and the ECO has sent me an email saying my online application has been received, and they can't do anything until the supporting documents have been received, do you think it will still be reviewed? How about the two weeks deadline given? I have called the Embassy several times, when they check their system, they kept saying that there is nothing with the GWF reference number on their system. I am asking you because I think you've been in the same situation. Please come to my aid. I have not received any email about my documents, except email saying my online app has been received. Don't hesitate to contact me if you require some info. Hoping to hear from you pretty soon. newbie715: |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by newbie715: 7:34pm On Oct 07, 2015 |
ToyinNick: Hello, don't work yourself up. If you read through my message when I got the visa, I stated that I never got an email confirming the delivery of my supporting documents, the postal address you sent to is the same one I used not the Vulcan House one and just like the email you said you received and posted here stated, mails from both addresses get delivered to the same office then they sort and I told you in my earlier post that it took almost a month after we mailed the documents before my hubby was contacted, I think it was just 2 days shy of a month. I'd advice you just hold on and tell your spouse to keep an eye out for the phone call. It seems like forever when you are waiting I know but it won't be long now anymore. I don't quite get what you said about the two weeks deadline, can you explain? All the best. |

papiwos: Unfortunately if your wife is not presently working, you cannot apply for a settlement visa. As she cannot satisfy the prerequisites to enable you apply for such. |

Hello everyone, Urgent advise needed. When I made my initial application we employed the services of a lawyer, but when the application was refused due to the mistake on the part of the lawyer, and that he was only interested in the fees. He initial charge us £900 which was fully paid. So when my wife and I decided to do the appeal on our own, surprisely we got another instruction to pay another £300, that he has logged an appeal for us. That's was when our problems started, we immediately told him to dis-logged whatever he has logged, he refused. My wife and I went ahead with our own well planned appeal as my wife the non-legal representative and to the glory of God, the appeal was allowed. The problem is now, I've written to the Sheffield office to tell them of the severed relationship with the lawyer but surprisely we received an email from the lawyer yesterday the following messages: ''Please make arrangements to attend our Watford Office to collect the latest correspondence from the Home Office regarding your husband’s entry clearance. Please contact me to arrange an appointment.'' I have been waiting for them to tell me to send in my passport because I got my promulgation since 31/07/2015. How do I handle this situation now. Do I have right to demand that message? Please, good advice. Winso26 |
