101-54 caps
Enyeama-Oliseh grin grin.

Maybe Oliseh was also pained in the manner he exit the captaincy of Eagles in his playing days and decided to vent his anger on Enyeama but why will he do that? OR just acting on the instruction of NFF over the uproar of Enyeama concerning security of Kaduna stadium in June.

The only way to douse the intention is for Eagles to keep winning for Oliseh's job to be safe.

All I see is a draw in this match

Hello guys,

My opinion on the Oliseh/Enyeama saga.

Nigerians have to learn and understand the fact that balance of power in a football team is quite delicate.

The Coach is the boss and is the first in line to get fired if results don't go well for the team. Therefore, every Coach wants to be in full control of the team on and off the field so as to be fully responsible for the results churned out by the team. No regrets or "Had I known..." after getting sacked.

So can you put yourself in the Coach's shoes and tell us what you'd do given the below timeline

1. Enyeama makes unguarded remarks, that bothers on National security, about a match venue and puts the NFF under pressure from govt.

2. Enyeama is issued a query by the NFF; he proceeds to tear same in the presence of of the team's secretary.

3. Enyeama is invited for a disciplinary hearing; he doesn't show up saying he didn't get the invite

4. NFF decides to sanction Enyeama but resolves to settle matters in house.

5. NFF appoints Oliseh as Super Eagles coach.

6. Oliseh comes out loudly in support of Enyeama. Asks NFF to treat players with respect.

7. Oliseh goes to Europe visiting players so as to explain his philosophy. He drives to Lille to see Enyeama.

8. Call ups for first set of matches under Oliseh (a crucial qualifier and a team building friendly); Enyeama tops the list of players.

9. Time to report to camp; Enyeama (recently bereaved) withdraws at the last minute but everyone is kept in the dark about his bereavement

10. Oliseh tries to rally his troops and barely comes out of Tanzania with a draw.

11. Stand in Captain, Ahmed Musa, shows exemplary leadership skills and puts everything into the 2 matches.

12. Oliseh's makes up his mind to appoint a Captain who's fully with him on this journey.

13. 2nd round of matches under Oliseh; 2 team building friendlies in Belgium

14. Enyeama arrives one day late (due to his performing final rites for his departed mother)

!5. Oliseh announces his decision on team captaincy; Enyeama tries to voice objection; Oliseh overrules; shouting match ensues!

16. Enyeama announces retirement.

If you where the coach or Enyeama or even the NFF president what would you do?
