If your device is rooted install Disk Digger
If you have a PC, install Recuva on the PC.

You're not supposed to use the phone at all when you want to recover something.
Let's say you accidentally wipe your device, then you shouldn't do anything with that device, don't make calls, receive messages, nothing qt all it else you run the risk of the sector the data is to be overwritten with new data.

If you're using Recuva turn on Deep Scan.
