Upload your "cached background process" that's what handle multitasking...
Go to settings, Apps, Running, then at the top there is an icon like processor click on it the you will see all "cached background processes" on that page tell us if you have more than 10 cached background process,
make sure you are running up to 16 apps
Or better still screen shot. Thank you.

Just because you have 21 apps open doesn't necessarily mean multitasking.. The issue here is apps restart after sometime if you go back to it. Doesn't mean the phone is bad but the ram manager customized with c8's lollipop is way too aggressive

He should do a screenshot that has app 21 920/1GB
Then I will believe him that those app are still running in background

This phone only use 786MB out of 1GB which is too bad.. Tecno should free us na
Ram management to aggressive with 256 MB we can enjoy multitasking to its fullest...

If anyone's own goes beyond 786/1GB please post it to convince me we are all doing research...

on my Y4 I can see more than 15 app there which mean those app can resume when they are minimise

On my Y4
I did a practical test i see that apps that have cached background process resumes
I now stop one of them, I went back to the minimised app which u will see on C8 too its starts afresh
This is what happens on C8 the phone does not save cache it cleans it once u minimised the app...

Your previous upload showed u minimized 16 app. Those app will only start afresh except that app is still running the cached background process

This is practical everyone can also try it use another phone to see

256MB is under utilized here
786MB is what we actually get from this phone
which makes cached background process close.. Resulting to poor multitasking...
Tecno should send us update to fix this...

I followed your instructions while running 30 apps simultaneously, based on the minimized app screenshot posted by me. But when I checked my ram and cached background process, this was what I got, right there before my eyes, as I was about taking screenshot, about 3 processes disappeared, meaning that the apps were closed by the ram manager.... I am beginning to think that tecno deliberately made this ram manager because they are trying to cover up some hidden truth about the actual spec of this phone which is. Seems the ram manager is there to close apps to avoid the processor from going burst. No wonder they made the phone so unrootable. Having a 1gig ram on papers when the phone doesn't really perform to that capacity is misleading. I would like to see a situation where this phone is subjected to rigorous tests to determine if it meets acceptable standards because it seems tecno played a fast one on us with this phone whose spec is only visible on papers and not in reality

You can minimize as many apps as possible, as long as you have free Ram to handle it... That is why phones now have 4GB RAM...

thnx a lot. I did just that and I got a msg "At+ ok" but when I reboot and dial *#06#, It still showed the old IMEI. What can be the problem since I still see the old imei?

Enjoying my c8 too, great phone for just 25,300 wat else do u guys want If u need "machine" why not go for iPhone 6 Even the iPhone 6 front camera no get flash, so "techno the chinko" pass the 265k phone for that one... I was almost discourage reading this thread but I just concluded that 25k isn't that much, I made a good choice, if samsung produced a phone like this, it would go for nothing less than 70k...ya people camon c8 rocks.... Yaaga!

Err....I get your point, really I do. But Samsung has a phone that is just like this. It's called the Galaxy J7 and its sold for 50k. That's roughly two times the amount of this phone, don't know which camera is better sha. It also has 1.5 gig ram and handles multitasking efficiently. Once tecno sends an update for the multitasking, it'll be a superb phone. However, the camon does the main thing tecno advertised well, multimedia experience is fantastic and the camera is great! Let's just try to flood them with complaints on social media, they'll listen.

Why not suggest the solutions yourself since you claim to be far sighted. You have not even made your point clear. Is it the poor multitasking that can be solved by Camon c8 users? the phone is great if you can live with its pure multitasking. The camera and the gpu is the reason while i'm still using it though.
