No Bomb Explosion In Abuja – FCTA by Nobody: 5:55am On Oct 11, 2015 |
THE Federal Capital Territory Administration has said there was no bomb explosion in Abuja as widely rumoured on Saturday night. There had been several reports, especially on the social media, on Saturday night that an explosive was detonated in Karu, a satellite town of the FCT, Abuja. But the FCTA in a statement late on Saturday said nothing of such happened. Enquiries from the Police FCT Command by this medium, also turned out to be negative. The police said it also got the report but could not establish its veracity as it combed the whole of Karu without any trace of an explosion. The FCTA, in a statement by Muhammad Hazat Sule, its Deputy Director/Chief Press Secretary, said: “It has come to the attention of the FCT Administration that there were rumours going round of a bomb explosion around Karu Satellite Town, suburb of Abuja on Saturday night, which is untrue. “The FCT Permanent Secretary, Engr. John Obinna Chukwu, FNSE, wishes to assure the residents of the Federal Capital Territory that the alleged rumour is unfounded. “According to him, the FCT Police Commissioner, Wilson Inalegwu, in company of other security agents have combed all the nooks and crannies of the area from Orozo to Nyanya and from Karu up to Mararaba, in Nasarawa State without any sign of bomb explosion. “Thus, the Permanent Secretary has urged the residents of the Territory to disregard such rumour, describing it as baseless. “Engr. Chukwu assured that the security agencies have intensified the surveillance the entire Federal Capital Territory in order to nip on the bud any of such unfortunate incidents. “Engr. Chukwu also called on residents to be security conscious, vigilant and report any suspicious person (s) or movement (s) to any nearby security agents.” http://savinggracereporters.com/headline/no-bomb-explosion-in-abuja-fcta/ |

IbnSultaan:o Are you not ashamed that people are now very scared to even venture out in the FCT for fear of bomb blasts. The was what was curtailed to the North East in the last administration. Right now, businesses are suffering because of low patronage caused by the high level of insecurity even in the nations seat of power. Do you know people are scared of their wards going out cos their is no guarantee of them coming back whole. Think about it |
