Why do you have to substitute an ingredient of low cost for a costlier one. Flour is costlier than molasses. Or, do you have access to flour free of charge? I am sorry Teepompey, I directed my earlier post to you. The post was meant for Sudirnge1. Post the formula you want to use and let experts in the house help you. You will be better informed. Or, are you one those people that do hide feed formula from other people's benefits? Lol. Do not mind me my sister. Sometimes with fluctuating water temperatures, and in particular with higher temperatures during the day, it is difficult to establish the actual mean water temperature. This can result in eggs being stripped too early with consequently very low hatching rates (5-10%). Eggs which are stripped too early tend to have a treacly consistency. It is always much safer to strip eggs later rather than earlier. If you are too early you will loose all your eggs, if you are too late you will loose some eggs. The eggs ooze out very easily if stripped at the right time.

Flour is more important than Molasis. If there is no molasis then they should use water to pellet the feeds together

Amidst several problem that faces us as fish farmers, there is a major one that guarantee AUTOMATIC FAILURE when we fall victim to it NO MATTER WHAT YOU SPEND ON THEM..Have you ever seen or imagine a situation whereby a fish farmer count so much loss on his/her investment? This major problem is sourcing for GOOD SEEDLINGS/FINGERLINGS/JUVENILES which has been a bane in fish farming.. Most of the complaint i have received so far from fish farmers is the lack of quality seeds which i have also fallen prey when i started my fish farm.. Fish farmers are loosing thousands and even millions overtime due to insufficient hatcheries that sell quality seeds.. Over the years i have been finding ways to curb these major problem, where we can all get good FINGERLINGS/JUVENILE without asking questions (trust) eradicate loss and maximize profit, a hatchery where we can call our Very own..

We are proud to announce that we are currently working on our New hatchery will be producing fast growing fingerlings/juvenile with a capacity of 500 thousand monthly for a start.We will fortify our hatcheries with constant aerating and flowthru fusion for continuous oxygen. The nursery will be an earthen pond from fingerlings to juvenile with constant flowthru just like their natural habitat to boost their growth. We will be using PRO-BIOTIC artemia sourced from the USA for feeding from fries to 3 weeks old to boost their immune system and resistance to any form of disease, we can stock our fingerlings/juveniles without fear of vulnerability of disease.. More so we are constructing ponds for tilapia hatchery The Catfish fries will be fed live tilapia fries which contains 80% protein to boost their growth rapidly.

Oga Robonski, This your project remind me of how we can combine tilapia and catfish in the same pond such that tilapia will serve as foods to the catfish. Pls, how can we do this successfully without overstocking a earthen pond of 34 by 45 feet. At what stage can one introduce tilapia into the pond. And, at what proportion? I learnt that tilapia fishes mature and lay eggs at a very short time. Oga excelsior, Ab1x and other gurus, pls I need your responses on this. tx.

We are currently setting up the hatcheries, one of the hatcheries will be only plastic vats while the other will be concrete.. we are starting out with the plastic vats setting up a simple semi recirculatory system passing through an alkanizer. The pump rotates the treated water round all the 30 spawning vats then passes through the alkanizer and back to the vat..The white tank is the alkanizer it contains resins, oyster fine sand. Rotation will be done 12 hours daily for assurance that they have good dissolved oxygen. The bio disc will also be set up.. Once we are done with the whole set up we move to construction of the tilapia ponds

its true after contruction leave it for 2 weeks to dry properly...since its going to carry water ..u will not want water to sip into the walls if not properly dry. it will cause crack and my friend if it crack u may need to replasta all overagain . i advice you wash with formaline after its dry fill the water and add chicken manure in a bag dip it in the concrate tank filled with water and leave it for another 1 week
the chicken manure helps send nutrients to the wall of your pond and also help to nutralise the chemical in your new cemented walls and also its a test of how strong your pond is.....after this you are good togo

my oga i'm a novice ooo, i'm trying 2 use oga abix formular but not having enough molases n going 2 fish market to buy molases will cost me additional 2k for transport.
