one of the lands got reciept but was bought many years back when lands were still cheap, like one of them was bought in the late 80s for a very cheap amount of N5000 now theres a building on it and its valued now for about 15 million naira if one is to resell it. other lands are family lands that were shared , there are no document to show that it was purchased , unless if we choose to prepare documents for it. i m using my mother as my sponsor please what do you advise me in a situation like this Godymn: |

@ ayooluwatoni Hello, please cic messaged me and said your passport has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre,Lagos. Without any attachment. 1. Is it that they have sent the passport back with the courier service I used? 2. Is there going to be a separate mail that will contain letter of approval? Cos my cic said my app has been approved. Thanks |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by lakusi(m): 2:29pm On Oct 12, 2015 |
Ayodeledej: CIC requested for your passport and you sent it through a courier service. The mail you just got is to update you that they have received the passport you sent to them thus, you should get a passport despatch mail afterwards. Takia *My Opinion* |

hello house, I have been reading and I have not seen any answer to the situation...the schools i applied to do not require IELTS or any standardized test for that matter....But i read that the score in IELTS adds 'points' to application (google) has anyone tried this and worked? i mean not done IELTS and still got the visa? I downloaded the forms today and there was a place asking if one has written any test? I am already thinking of how to write it before the year runs out...please advice! Thanks |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by newacca: 3:00pm On Oct 12, 2015 |
detutu1:IELTS doesn't change anything when it comes to TRV application. Even most Canadian institutions don't require IELTS For Nigerian applicants. Loads of people have gone through both school and TRV application process without IELTS or any standardized test and they were successful. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Godymn: Bros na village land na, where u wan see receipt? Lmao.....e fit be great great great grand papa get am sef.... it's not compulsory u use land, ur family is enough, especially if you ain't working. Besides, the fact that your family has a land does not prove anything. It is not your own, there's no proof u have a share in it, so just take your mind off it. You will be fine without it |

ayooluwatoni: You this ayooluwatoni, your not well sha....Just kept laughing at the bolded. I think it would have been better if the land was on his name. But for someone who's parent has a land, can the child use that as a home tie since his father is the owner? ***Appreciate*** |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by ayooluwatoni(m): 3:45pm On Oct 12, 2015 |
bukky85: You don't need his tax clearance. What you need is his soa and letter of sponsorship. If you have pictures of the two of u, then add it too. If you'll be submitting his company's acct, then get his CAC co2 and co7 doc, he should try and get a reference letter for you from his bank. 1 Like |

Godymn: In my opinion, NO! Home tie is something that is so important to you that will compel you to return home after a short stay abroad. So now imagine, what is ur business with your dad's land? But if the ownership of the land has been transferred to you.....then it's ok! |

kwenu: What program are you going for? I see no reason for including that land, because it does not mean a thing! Let's know your profile, when u graduated, if u've been working, what you've been doing etc.....that will help us advise you appropriately. But it's good your mum is sponsoring you! You stand a good chance. 1 Like |

phonesNgadgets: How we go do na bro? Once you're submitted your app, there's nothing you can do, so why worry? Nothing u do can change the outcome of ur application (except prayers) after you've submitted. You just have to be hopeful |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by jessicajessa(f): 4:32pm On Oct 12, 2015 |
bukky85:In my opinion what you should do is this, include a copy of the previous tax receipts, include as many as possible(if it's yearly, include that of 2010-2014, or if it's monthly or quarterly...include like 5/6 months), then you can explain in your LOE, that the present tax clearance receipt is being worked on & it takes a maximum of three weeks and you don't have that time to wait, so you included the ones of subsequent years(just a prove that he pays his tax). Then you can also include what ayooluwatoni, suggested....then make sure you show a strong proof of an established relationship with your sponsor.#that's very important. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Godymn: 4:45pm On Oct 12, 2015 |
ayooluwatoni: Valid point though. Was thinking the land can help boost ones finances as per the dad can sell it should any need arise.... What's your input on this? ***Appreciate*** |

kwenu: Get Estate valuer to value the land and d building on it. They will evaluate the land and prepare a document that will show the worth of the building. Concerning the land, you can get a survey plan of d building from a registered surveyor. You can ask the surveyor to back date the survey plan as this may look fishy by VO. 1 Like |

Godymn: That is also true, it can tell more about one's family situation......but it has to be hyped, and not call it land in a village. .... |

bukky85:It's a company's document, to show it has been registered(incorporated) with CAC(corporate affairs commission). CO2 – Share Allotment Form, CO7 – Particulars of Directors. it shows the ownership and all that, normally when you incorporate/register a company it becomes a legal entity(like a seperate person from it's owner) on it's own, so the cac forms unveils who is behind the scene and other important things.(hope i didn't confuse you further?). #This can stand as a proof of ownership or source of funds/income....whatever the case might be. Plus you are welcome. 1 Like |

bukky85: In addition to what @jessicajessa has said, you can add a covering letter from FIRS stating that your sponsor's tax clearance is being worked on and will be ready soon or something.... (the letter should be self explanatory but not too wordy). I think FIRS should be able to do this if u ask (as long as your sponsor's tax clearance is being worked on). I think this can stand in place for the explanation in your SOP. **my opinion....i stand to be corrected** |
