Please help. My 2weeks plus old chicks are dull, not eating well, sleeping standing, buried necks, some have watery stools, I noticed this two days ago. I have vaccinated them against Newcastle disease with LaSota, in the first week, then Gongola in the second week. This is the third week and they went from being energetic to being sick in a flash. I've been giving them a glucose+antibiotic+vitamin drug since I got them. I bought chlortetracycline drug yesterday for them but they are still the same.
I keep them well aerated and their litter dry. There are two poults with them who are still agile.

Did you give gomboro vaccine ? The symptoms look like Gomboro

Pls next time give ur gumboro sooner, say day 9 to 12. Anyway give then some cocciostats like embazyl . they will recover. God be with u.

really the way you people talk about broilers is just the way others rear them and get frustrated.i do not mean to be rude or just proving to know but if you don't know too much about broiler production,it is better for you to get the bottom knowledge from an experienced person or better still go for like 2-3weeks practical training.this will enable you have the start-up knowledge and wont lead to frustration.am a veterinary technologist a poultry specialist.you can call me if you like on 08039272481 for nay question and also u can like our page on facebook.phardarspoulterer consult.

get their customer care number, they have agents in every state, and they deliver to delta state, ask around for any animal store/ vet shop, you will get more information on the disease resistance birds.

Do you have the history of their medication/vaccination so far??
If not, u have some risk to manage. Nevertheless , feed them very well, giving them vitalyte almost every morning, give them embazyl anytime you notice their feaces going yellowish to reddish. Most importantly vaccinate them by this month ending, with lasota.

Give them the embazyl or panthacox.. .these are anti coccidia ...

My Xmas birds are 6weeks now, I feel I started too early... My dear u have enough time. Just feed them very well.

I got my broilers in august at 4 weeks dey didn't die until recently they started dying, I have lost 15 now out of 40 don't know what to do

U have about 10 wks to Xmas., so:
Is it day old or 4 weeks??
If its 4 weeks u are safe.
If its day old, then be ready for feeding.
. ..truth is u can meet up.

Isn't 15 weeks too long for broiler production? I ha heard of farmer that target 7 to 10 weeks. What advantage does keeping them to 15 weeks confer? Thanks
