The best way out of this saga is to carry out DNA test. If the woman refuses, then it means the GOLDEN GIRL belongs to Ogwi... family. Nothing like going before the shrine. Black are deceitful. |

Wow!.....I wonder why it took 16 years for the family to discover the girl had their birthmark! ....was a family member sleeping with her...noticed the mark and told the other family members? Whatever the case.... we know DNA test can clarify the issue... but we must realize those people don't believe in DNA tests. ...swearing at the shrine is rated wayyyy above any DNA test! 1 Like |

The issue is not in DNA. It boils down to who claimed the child when she was little. I remember a lady from sapele, she had a child for her secondary school boyfriend and the guy and his family denied her. Her own family because of shame sent her away and to keep it short the lady married a white guy. After 10yrs the gold digger of a boy friend started raising heat that they should bring his child. If it is you would you give such a fool your child? 1 Like 1 Share |

why are we in this country just like this? i believe the woman knows everything about the child that nobody knows. and for good 16 yrs, it is now the unknown become known. anyway DNA will do the justice. |

isblog:. Not as easy as u are talking. It is only when u realize that the person u have been married to isnt what and whom she has been claiming to be and u also discover that "your kids" are totally unlike u or any member of your family. Just imagine a scenario where a baby has been born. The joy and celebration take over everything! U as the father won't even doubt anything. U assume u are the father of the baby and same thing that your wife is the mum. Some women can be very wicked and heartless. It takes the grace of God. Some men will even discover when the children are already adults that the children he has been claiming for so long to be their father aren't his own. Some men maybe lucky enough to find out that while some of the kids are his, others arenot while in some cases, all the kids are not his!!! 2 Likes |

The Girl belongs to the owigho family or any other apart from the emokpor family, thats why she is refusing the idea of DNA test, she prefers the shrine, because there is nothing women hates more than shame, they rather die than have it. My own take is why getting pregnant for a man if u dont want to marry him, the child should be told whom her real father is and she should decide wether to stay with him or not, somewhere in deuteronomy or numbers in the Bible it is written that if a man lay with a woman he should marry her, but if the father of the woman refuse the man marriage with his daughter, the man should pay money according to the bride price for her as appeasement, thus saith the Lord of host, so in other words whomever is the father of the girl should be meant to do so before he can claim custody, the Word of God is above any tradition on this earth. Beware of women, confusing men since the day of Adam |

Parisfran: I've read many comments here, calling the woman all sorts of names, my dear you are one of the reasonable ones! First of all, how do they know the woman was pregnant? She says she was not, And if they say she was, Why didn't the guy claim the baby and marry her? It is clear from the story that she had a relationship with the other man, she never denied that fact, but no one is asking what happened then. Possibly , they were young and the guy Took Off and denied the lady! Now , no one is also asking if the guy has been able to have other kids, possibly not, that is why they are eager to collect someone's child after 16 years!! What if she was pregnant and the Husband knew, but decided to accept the child anyway? Where were they when the Husband was taking care of the girl? Also are they even thinking about the emotional trauma they are causing this child or their own selfish desires have overtaken their good sense( if they had any) ? DNA or not, they have no MORAL right to claim the child, she has a Father and mother who love her and they should leave her alone! In the story, we have not heard from the purported father, is he alive, is he the one fighting and why now? Honestly, the things men do!!! 4 Likes 1 Share |

The child belongs to the man who payed the bride price; thats the culture in the South except if the husband does not want the child. The law dos not recognize external biological parent as owner of a child in a legally certified marriage except on condition of the above. |
