Davdar: You don't need a lawyer for the appeal, apart from getting all the documents together you will only need to write and appeal statement... The statement is basically addressing each refusal point and nothing else. Just point out areas you think the ECO got it wrong that is all. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Hi, I applied for a 6months visiting visiting visa to attend my graduation in November. I have being studying at the Uk since 2012 but came back few days before my visa expiration. I submitted my application at the Ikeja office at 3pm on 7th of October and received this message on 12th of October. Dear ****************** A decision has been made on your UK visa application. Your application will be despatched within 48 hrs. If anyone contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, please disregard as they cannot. You should not expect to receive any further notification from this office. Kind regards, Lagos Visa Section Please what does this signify? And also considering the processing time which is shorter than expected (3 working days excluding weekends). I don't know if it means refusal. |

Section 4: documents you should not send unless specifically requested This page provides guidance on the types of documents that are not required to consider your application. if you are applying as a family/group you do not need to provide multiple copies of the same documents bank statements or letters issued more than 1 year before the date of application driving licence photographs (other than passport photographs required in section 1) notarial certificates business cards hotel bookings flight bookings photocopies of bank cards credit card statements certificates relating to leisure activities Pls, does it mean we don't need to send in HOTEL BOOKINGS with our applications? |

safex101: Tax clearance certificate is important because it's used to evaluate your company. No point cancelling your appointment since you've already made payment which is not refundable. |

TERRYgbaa: The combination of both salaries are good and as long as you don't spend more than two months of both salaries your chances are good. |

My 6months visiting visa expired in May 2015 and i applied for settlement in July but was denied last week and I have been in and out of the UK. Good day, Please I'm planning to apply for UK Visa but I will like to know what chance someone who has worked for 1.5years with a company but has left the company. But due to the company's policy (some bank's policy on staff account), I can no longer use the salary account upon resignation from the company. So I want to know do I have to wait until after six months in my present company or I can apply with the old salary account (closed) along side my new salary account? Please I need the gurus in this house to respond, I would really appreciate cc:@justwise Regards. |

teana4040: Both applications should have your marriage certificate, since you're applying together, the ECO will understand the reason for the photocopy. Please note that it is important you submit all your original documents including your work ID cards. 1 Like |
