Fashola is best governor I've seen in my own time, na where man dey work na em him dey chop. At least he ate but we felt his impact, only 78million and someone has the guts to call him a thief, what then should we call dizeani, obasanjo, abacha? . Fashola will perform excellent I can bet on dat. I just pray he is given the chance to discharge his duties |

otijah:Anyone who has an impeccable command of the English language wouldn't be fascinated at all, at his average use of vocabulary. It is just unfortunate that mediocrity is commonplace and an average speech is being celebrated by ephemeral individuals, as world class. Our generation needs to wake up to self development for this change to be real. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I was actually laughing at the jubilant baboons and monkeys over the way they celebrated a thieving politrickcian sh1tting in their empty skulls. How can he claim that clearly inflated projects should simply remain inflated because as an EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR he didn't sign the checkbooks and the APC otimkpus and chimpmunks are celebrating, because he garnished his words with grandiose verbose? lol Maybe TA orji and co. should also be left off the hook because they were not trained as Accountants and therefore didn't sign the chequebooks. That means every governor blindly spent whatever the looney at their Accountant's office (or whoever is reponsible for signing chequebooks) signed off, inflated or deflated, no questions asked. When the World health organization declared last week that majority of Africans are retar.ded and demented, they were being very economical with the truth. They were specifically referring to nigerians. Thank God i'm not nigerian. lol |

dboss444: This is what we are saying, either you looted a kobo or trillions, u have looted. Nigerians are shortchanged. If he could upgrade a web #78m, all he could say an institutional process. This tells you how institutionally processed other projects would be carried out. We understand that the institutions are made this way- allowances to president, senators, honourables, chairmen, other MDAs including Central bank officials' allowances, NNPC chiefs' allowances, NDIC, FIRS, Head of service, and what have you should be largely reasonable so as to have funds for capital projects. No to inflated projects either by institutional processes or other means. Hence, you will have a good job, there will be regular electricity, water supply, qualitative healthcare services, good roads, airports, modern railway system, research centres for medical and scientific purposes, agriculture will be modernized, industrial sector will be developed etc. People will have jobs, they will contribute to the societal devt. Insecurity and crime will as a result be reduced, real economic growth will increase, other sectors of the economy will develop. Not that you will start looking at public offices holders' children as gods wen their parents have stolen our commonwealth. I wish you could see what Nigerians are going thru here, harsh weather, unfriendly relations, racism, etc for survival. If govt is continued to be run this way, we might not get there. There are a lot of nigerians who couldn't afford education despite the fact that public schools are relatively cheap. Govt is to have a programme to cater for this group. Our senior citizens should be taken care of. All these will fall into place, if public offices holders donot inflate projects again. The institutional barriers should be removed. No to #6.5billion security vote, this should be well- channelled to developmental projects. The cost of election activities should be reduced so as to free the politicians of huge electioneering spends. You will not have to be 40-50 years before you can afford own shelter. This will encourage foreign capital flights. The cost of running a business in Nigeria will be as low as 10% of the sales. Yu pay less on services, food items, consumer goods etc.The era of seeing any public offices holders as gods will no longer be. Everybody will be ok at least unlike 3% of the population we are having now. We are saying everything should be well managed. Not that what concerns me, after all it is of public funds. God bless Nigeria 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Blakjewelry: One thing about Nigerians is that when they, "love", it doesn't matter if the person is a thief, a murderer, a ritualist, a fraudster, a cultist, a rapist, a corrupt politician, Nigerians still "love" them. What a pity! A governor telling us he's only trained as a lawyer, and is a zombie elsewhere reduces the almighty Fashola to ridicule. It also means if appointed a minister, he would also be "Illiterate" in every other thing outside law and legal practice. |

Sir, the question is did you spend such amount for website development? Yes or no. Don't dazzle the common man you are suppose to serve with big grammer. If the head is sick, what do you expect from the other members of the body. The senate president is yet to clear the allegations levelled him. The question is still waiting for you to answer whenever you are ready sir. |

sweatlana: Leave him, they are feeding him nah...they have upgraded a web #78m by due process. State A built a bridge @ #1.5b by due process, the same coy built d same bridge for State B at #2.5b. They should continue. It is just a pity that there are some people who don't get such a support. They understand that they are shortchanged by this so-called due process ( at all levels of govt) 1 Like |

My opinion. Nairaland in conjunction with other social sites, must on behalf of Nigerians, organize another round of screening for these nominees, especially after their portfolios have been assigned. And we must request our government that anyone of them, who fails to answer our questions satisfactorily be withdrawn from service. Let's move beyond talk to action now. It is our destiny these guys are playing poker with. The government will listen to us if we make this trend. |

The ministerial screening, beside its boring characteristics, brought forth something important. It showed that Nigerians are sorry to say, unintelligent. The understanding of the performance of the ministerial nominees was adduced by all and sundry, as an intelligent and successful showing, but the truth begs to differ * FAYEMI, was at best a disgrace to his profession and alma mater. He could not successfully give a real answer to the mountain of allegations, of his financial mismanagement while in office * Amina Mohammed was talking to herself, and at best sounded like the average female customer care official at the local bank * Dambazau was so scared of being publicly riducled, that he barely answered any question posed at him * Audu Ogbeh, stupiD1y implicated himself as a financier and founder of BOKO HARAM * Fashola, despite being a lawyer with a degree from the prestigious University of Benin, ended up sounding like your average armed robber paraded by the police for the cameras. Its basic law 101, that ignorance of a crime is not innocence And this people were applauded by the populace. We are in TROUBLE. 1 Like |

spikesC: This is the question I asked the very first time I saw this online. What happened to his salary? I bet if he opened the website from his money, it won't cost him up to a million naira. I have a website that has more contents in it but didn't cost me. 20,000 naira. Nairaland has millions of posts but the total money it cost since 2005 is not up to 78 million naira. It is a pity that the South West youths whom I am sure majority of them know about website and the costs, are here supporting this man because he claimed he didn't sign contracts. What kind of answer was that? Who signed the contract for his personal website? Was it his deputy or his wife? Yet the question is why would Lagos sponsor his personal website? What happened to the state government website? But I guess it is a case of "leave my thief alone, your own thief is not better" 1 Like |
