IFE di nma rie mu ego, umunna taa mu u taa. Though I disagree with the fourth picture, it denotes a bad omen, its only when a woman is been sent back to her parents, which signify a divorce or irreconcilable differences that she carries a keg of palm wine covered with ogilishi leaves on her head. And the accompanied relations of the husband re few with downcast faces. Igbo tradition marriage re conducted at night, as from 9pm till dawn, this is still active in Enugu, Ebonyi and some part of Abia states. These afternoon show that re held now, is modern acculturation 4 Likes |

This is why guys don't get married any more, all this wastage of money after all the expenditure the husband will not have any fund left to look after his new wife. Next time you see him it will be on TV news been paraded as an armed robber me thinks its time women begin to contribute to the expenses of marrying them, after all its supposed to be for better for worse if you agree click like |

karbridals: Nne, its called stereotyping. "Igbos love money" is the standard stereotype. Now speaking of brideprice. Your folks may have accepted 150,000 for your sisters Igba Nkwu, but I can tell you there are people whose list have topped 1.5million Naira. Especially ndi Owerri. And before i'weputa mma gbuwa'm isi, abu'm Nwanne gi nwoke. 3 Likes |
