A colleague of mine told me about her yesterday ooo, that they were classmates all through secondary school. Can u imagine. Even the Catholic church that doesn't support divorce, supports separation especially when there is a threat to life. What a loss. That man must be from lucifer! But I blame ladies sometimes. Why did she keep quiet all the while; I'm sure this is not one-off. Whatever happened to the parents! They all kept mute till her death! It's so so unfortunate. This is so sad. She personally operated on my child and was part of the team of Doctors for two other surgeries on him during a long sojourn in her unit in LUTH.

Dr Hestianna Thomas was so dedicated and passionate about her job and contributed so much in saving my kid. I had planned to acknowledge her kindness and the great role she played in a book I'm writing about the experience. You couldn't help but like her.

How could such a beautiful soul exit this world in such a horrible manner?

No it's not a well known fact.. Hestia worked with me for years.. She came in in a pool of blood with a nylon bag over her head face smashed in chest and arms fractured.. Husband told us she had a history of depression and suicidal attempts and that her family know this.. For now we are working with that.. The family may or may not confirm this.. She's had a full body scan post mortem and is in the morgue.. Please don't speculate and cause unnecessary pain to her 2 kids

So she smashed in her own face and chest, then fractured both arms by herself.
Doc, just listen to yourself.

N.B-People who commit suicide do it in a fast, clean painless way i.e, a shot to the head, a jump from the bridge, running in front of a moving car, etcetera.
If she committed suicide, what was the weapon used. No suicide note for her husband and kids?

U are rite sir, men too could be. I use 2 know of a woman who maltreats her spouse, sends him on errands, 2 market, cleaning d huse, cooking etc. But it was more like she cast a spell on him. He eventually died misteriously. Yes if u say emmotional abuse, I agree But talking about physical abuse, I tink women are more of victim as dey are weaker in strength 2 fight bak. Just as women are 99% victim of Rape.

I am suspecting this man,are you sure you aint the lady's husband? Cos the man hasn't been arrested,he knows the story has gone viral on social media,as far as I am concerned he may be the one typing this,trying to be on a defensive side right on his couch. Hmmmm! There are 2 tins I'll tell u which u shud keep at d back of ur mind;
1) Be true 2 urself. U alone can tell if u're d victim, wat u feel & wat u want. only u can rewrite ur story. Know D Bible 4 urself & don't allow anyone mislead u with isolated verses.

When I was in surgery posting, Dr (Mrs) Ididio-Thomas was exceptional. Her death is a great loss to us in LUTH.
But the greatest surprise is that, even the LUTH authority has not come up with the cause of death.
Everything is shrouded in secrecy.
Even up till now, no official statement has been made about her death.
It still beats my imagination how a battered body of a whole consultant would be brought to the hospital where she had worked all her life, and the management would still not be bold to tell the world what killed one of its own.
LUTH CMD, please do the needful. Reveal the result of the autopsy. Tell the world what killed our own amiable Dr. Thomas.

Just few days ago a Nurse and her daughter were killed by stray bullets following bank robbery in festac, Lagos state.
Now this, what's really going on??

she had one sided injuries I saw the body.. I heard the husband's tale....there are some disparities but never good to speculate till you have all the info... The thing about no hearing the beating. The thing about the bag on her head.. The evidence of previous slash scars on her wrists.. Not in the newspaper report.. I'm a surgeon by the way and I work in luth

I do not think there is a case of suicide that will result in that level of injury, except she jumped in front of a moving truck or train or down from a storey building.
