Why panting when the film is yet to start ? I am baffled the igbos would allow some coward yoruba to beat their Eze n go scot free. I would commit suicide if I am an Igbo just for that. I can't wait to see Igbo run over the people they call cowards.
it doesn't change the fact that y'all are cowards . y would over 200 jobless youths attack a single person, y not 1on 1

What planet are you from? You should change your moniker to dishonestbabe ASAP. Ibos don't have problems in China, South Africa and other places?
I can list at least 10 countries where ibos are well known as troublemakers.
Yorubas are about the only people who can put up with ibo nonsense and they are messing it up.

I'm posting this photo to correct this rumour going up and down about people in diaspora leaders can't wear their crown to visit the state king. That is the Eze Ndigbo of kano with Sanusi.

Whenever my owan people want to visit the Emir in kano, our Enogie goes with his full regalia, and nothing has happened.
Even in universities, when a tribe in the school want to visit a traditional leader, they go along with their appointed or voted king/queen.

So the Igbos are subjects to the Yoruba kings?

ichoku:
Of course it is a big mistake on your part to consider Igbos subject of your king. They are not. We are only subject to the governor of the state and the local government chairman. these are positions we know.

Traditional institutions don't exist in vacuum. They are a creation of the chieftancy laws of every state. That is why 5% of local government allocations goes to them. So, it doesn't matter whether you like it or not, you are subject to a king once you live in his territory.

Igbos know who their real enemies are,so it not about wearing of crown to visit dirty Oba.
Their acts, activities and attitudes towards the Eze ndi Igbo reek of jealousy and hate.

The dirty Oba was simple intimidated by the Eze ndi Igbo presence and swag, may be he was putting some kind diamond ornaments the oba can't afford in his entire life.

I believe the Yorubas will soon understand that neutralising the Igbos is far far simpler than engaging them in fisty cuffs. They should simply let the goods in Igbo shops go to rot. If they cannot sell their stock in YORUBALAND they will go back home or simply perish. That day is coming soon.

Cultures differ. What the Hausas could tolerate, culture-wise, the Yorubas may not. All we are saying is that as non-Yorubas living in Yoruba enclaves, you should respect our cultures and traditions. In Yoruba land, no one, except fellow kings, is expected to wear a crown when visiting the Oba. It is an abomination and we won't condone those who have lost their morals, values, traditions, norms and cultures to trample upon ours. It is not a request. It is an order!

You are digital. Dont mind our yoruba brothers and their rusty ways of tribalism
hidden behind tribalism. Throughout my days in the university my roommates were yorubas. I recommended them but the type

Igbos are peaceful tribe, they only do their business and does not look for anybody 's trouble, but yorubas has big problem of accomodating others, the fact that Igbos travel a lot should not be the reason the Yorubas should be insulting them like this, after all Igbos are everywhere, and no other tribes are complaining about these people except Yorubas,i think its Yorubas that has this problem,Iam not Igbo but i have lived with igbos and if everybody should say the truth,Nigeria can testify,i based here in Abuja, and from south,my people at cross rivers cohabit well with Igbos,so Yorubas should let Igbos have peace for once and save themselves some energy

That deji stool in akure needs some serious spiritual cleansing to cast out the spirit of insanity bedeviling its occupants in the recent past.
Recal that the immediate past man on that throne was accused of raping an NYSC lady and the present occupant of the same throne has started displaying some traits of insanity going by his recent actions against his innocent visitor.
How can a sane man planned and attacked an innocent man he invited to his house.
This is the height of betrayal and irresponsibility exhibited by the deji. He must apologise.

You can't have two kings in a single territory. The Eze Ndigbo of Akure is at best the leader of the Igbo community in Akure and not a king. If a real Igbo king like the Obi Onitsha is to visit the Akure palace, he will be accorded all due respect.

If the Obi of Onitsha were to visit the Deji of Akure, wouldn't he be allowed to enter the palace with his beaded crown?? shocked

The oba of akure is suffering from acute Inferiority complex. Nobody is dragging Oba throne with him . If the Eze ndi igbo is truly disrespectful to the Oba, why then did he honour the Oba's invitation. Eze ndi Igbo is simply the elected leader of Igbo pple living in akure, how does his position challenge the position of the Oba of akure? The Oba behaved like a common street tout

Like Oba of akure, most yoruba youth are suffering
from acute inferiority complex. That's why they
demand for respect rather than work hard to earn it.

The Ogba ewu (Goat market) in head bridge market
in Onitsha is dominated by hausas, even those some
igbos sell goat there also, an Hausas man has
always been the leader of the market and neither
the Obi of Onitsha nor Igbos youths in Onitsha has
ever felt threatened. Everybody is more occupied
with their business.

Why would an Oba feel threatened when an Igbo
man becomes a leader in a market highly
dominated by Igbos? Inferiority complex is the
answer. I understand that yorubas hate competition in their land
especially if the competitor is from another tribe. But they should know that America is great today bcus they welcome competition.

Igbos leave igboland to yorubaland, not that yorubaland is more developed than Igboland, but simply bcus business in Igboland is highly competitive , unlike in yorubaland. In Igboland, everybody has the business brain which makes it highly competitive environ. Yorubas are not known for buying and selling, they are more of white collar jobs, which is an advantage for Igbos in yorubaland who are more of business merchants.

The yorubas , hausas and other tribe exemption of
Igbo always scream 'one Nigeria'. But Igbos are the
tribe who practicalize 'one Nigeria' mantra, and yet they are hated for that.
Honour indeed by coming with his fellow eediots to protest!
Yeye people!

Having gone beyond incendiary headlines, to review the circumstances which resulted in the current breakdown of ethnic relations in Akure, I am in complete agreement with you.

With respect to pt #2, I think his transgression was not simply to do with the "crown" he wore but the inauspicious circumstances under which it was worn. Apparently, after being corrected by palace officials who explained that his action was considered a taboo in Akure, he continued with his defiance nonetheless - see Youtube video included below. The following article also speaks to the restless combativeness which seemingly underscored his visit to the palace. You will note that the picture I attached (further below), which was taken from a video on Youtube, shows him sitting alongside the Olowo in his full regalia. No problem there, as it was for a specific festival.
