there is a justification and it is him trying to lord over a market in yoruba land which is against the law.

Who are the people that populate the market?

This is the Ibo, at least one of those that organized with the Fulani herdsmen to abduct Chief Falae.

Not when the impostor "Eze ndigbo" meddled or rather usurped the power of the Deji by choosing the leadership of the market which by customary law falls within the purview of the Deji of Akure.

Thanks for explaining it, thought it was the Deji meddling.

Where exactly in Rivers do you come from??

Imagine Igbos blocking the Palace of the Paramount Ruler of Port Harcourt because they are protesting a decree..hehehehehehe

Guy, trouble no good.

^^^ guy i'm not in support of any1 who forments trouble, but i'm highly interested in knowing why a yoruba man shud concern himself with an igbo mans affair. Dont we have yorubas living in other places with a leader? Have u seen any1 harrassing them or attempting to dethrone their leader for no just reason? The yorubas in my area have a leader and whatever they do to themselves in relation to the culture is no business of mine.

even if the market likes let it be 100percent igbos, if the law of the land says only the Oba can appoint a market head nothing can change that unless the law changes.
Its just like the python practice in Anambra if a yoruba man doing business there kills a python and is found out, according to the law he must bury it the traditional way, the yoruba man has to obey it, unless he decides to flee at night, he has no right to start questioning there tradition that has been passed on from generation to generation.

Why I didn't say much on this issue is I don't support igbo population in yorubaland (not Lagos for emphasis) likewise the north but this this thug called Deji very foolish. Why is he dabbling in the running of an ethnic association of a different, culturally unrelated people in Ondo state. is he the governor of the state? What gave him the audacity to tell an independent association under the Nigerian law who should be their Eze? Was he the one that formed the association for them? This is why Tinubu said yoruba obas are useless. The last one battered his wife and was dethroned for this thug. This Deji should be arrested for inciting violence and constituting public nuisance.

Now I could understand better. It was not because he wore crown into the palace, but rather a person that has be removed by the Oba still have the effontry to wear crown in Obas's presence, thereby calling bluff of the Oba!

So you mean election can't be carried out at the market for them to choose their leader?

The earlier the ibos get over the loss of GEJ at the polls the better for them cos since the last elections the ibos have been allowing their emotions run riot all over Yoruba land. The Yoruba's in Lagos are still liberal compare to the Yoruba's outside Lagos. If they are in doubt, they should try out their skills in Ife or ijebu land.

Its time for the ibos to move on, 2019 is not too far away, they can start restrategising now to get better. If the likes of papa Clark the ijaw nation and even NOI have moved on, why can't the ibos for Christ sake.

If you truly watched the video, you won't say this here, statements like yours is the reason more obas will deal with the Igbo's squarely, have you ever wondered why its only the ibos that gets into trouble like this?

Sister cool down, it's not fair you calling my Oba those names, Please let us be objective.

When the Oba of Lagos misfired, I was not intimidated to be blunt about it.

Mutual respect is important in a multicultural country like ours.

We can air our views without resulting to abusing our sacred institutions.

What about the Fulani's? when will the obas muster the courage to deal with them or is it because Igbos are respectful of their hosts and would not take laws into their hands?

Is the eze ndigbo also known as eze ndiyoruba? Yorubastards shud focus on their people and forget about the igbos and their ezes. In Rivers where i come from, the igbos have same set of people parading as eze ndigbo yet, nobody gives a hoot about that. Its purely an igbo man's business. If anybody shud fight over the eze thingy in yoruba land, it shud be the igbos and not yorubas. unless the yorubas want to tell the world that dey dont fancy living in a liberal society.

You are a big liar man. It's obvious you have never been to the said market in akure. I have friends who carry out business in the market, the market is highly dominated by igbos and their is never a law or custom which require that the Oba choose the leader of the market. The traders are the ones who chose their leader, and that's exactly what happened, it was not the Eze ndi igbo who appoint the leader, he only supported the igbo man who won the leadership.

The Oba has no legal right to dethrone a person selected by any indigenous group to lend them. You guys should stop all these lies.

The yorubas are not kids in this Nigeria, they have witnessed things, done things and made decisions,
they know how to think far, most of these Niaraland yorubas that if u go through there post u wud be seeing curses all through I discovered are the most harmless ones. I know stuffs like this would have happened in Lagos at one point in time, the fact that they managed it in the best and peaceful way possible tells alot about them, me I prefer to be a coward let my state be as developed as Lagos than to be brave and let my state be backward.
you spoke well.
But our ways re different from their ways. It s well.

It is not my view.. I cannot call an Oba useless, I was just quoting Tinubu. I believe this issue could have been better handled. These news of obas and Igbos is becoming peculiar whereas igbos are not even causing troubles like say the Fulani's in yorubaland. This is becoming like a conspiracy but the obas should be circumspect.

When the Fulani's were on rampage in ogun, they were dealt with seriously by the agbekoyas if you know them, same thing in Oyo state, the reason for the noise in ondo state is because its a PDP state where the afenifere keeps making noise just because we have a Fulani President that they want his attention and want to spite to console themselves over their loss at the polls, its all politics. The Yourubas continue to defend their land inspire of all the threats, reason boko haram and Fulani herdsmen have not been able to have a foothold in the sw like they do in other regions.

I dare the ibos not to have a restraint and try this rubbish in ijebu land or Ife, they will be the one to cry witch hunt as usual. The ibos are very disrespectful and everyone all over the country knows that

The blind hatred for Yorubas has clouded sense of reasoning and objectivity. The reactions on this issue is nauseating and disappointing.

Let us be fair. Can this happen somewhere else without worse reaction? Someone even said Akure is no-man's land...just like Lagos. Isn't that hilarious?

You call Nigeria a zoo yet you are flexing muscle over every corner and claiming ownership and control. Live and let live. When we die, we become just another 'body'. Dust to dust. Not Yoruba, not Igbo, not Fulani, not Hausa.
