If you're having virus, worms or any other malware problems. Try scanning your PC with RoboSAM first.

why waste 1g+ on windows 8 update to get win 10...backup ur file...do a clean install...
That for the simple reason to get activated. Clean install requires larger file size. I don't really understand your point of view on this.

Either the flash driver itself is not good or there is virus attack causing it to behave that way. Try to scan it with antivirus and see what you find.

First and foremost, check if your time and date are correct. If they are not correct then make sure they are right with your time zone and actual date.

Next clear your history and remove all unwanted extension from the browsers.

Do the maths..he has to first download 1.4g+ in updates before allowing him make the transistion to windows 10 then download another 1-2gig needed(that's ow much Naira4data)where Internet connection can be unstable.as for activation, maybe u ain't aware of ow to backup your windows license key and restore it in a new installation.moreso, for my own installations, either I embed the key into the installation or deploy it after installation..

What are you talking about? Where is he getting the ISO from to do the clean install? You are making it look as if the backup of license key in previous Windows version will automatically activate your Windows 10 without first upgrade. There are tricks but you must have to upgrade first. Another thing is that if you HWID is not with Microsoft and you aren't using MSA then you are going to have problem activating it genuinely.

I still don't understand your idea though.

atimes, its always no point debating with u..but needful cuz i dont see any competition here.read more on "product key migration" and product key types:retail.oem...and if u do,can u identify what kinda key the poster is talking abt from his screenshots?
-yes,there is even a software that helps backup/restore windows product key easily..its the same "handshake" that happens quietly when u do the upgrade unlike the manual migration.
-HWID<MSA.what the hell as those?if u av noticed,i only engage myself in problems many dare to lookin...i love to challenge myself to greatness.
-as for the ISO,has the posted requested or complained to u?im sure they shd av it in computer village and if he asked,i have a windows 10 enterprise 64bit(the highest level available from microsoft which is not included in any of the free upgrade provided)..
its shameful i cant provide a link for ur reading pleasure here so i dont get banned..so use google..

bugzygee..no mind us..nothing really serious...we are all here to learn and in turn provide the best possible solution to the public..every method, advise or solution provided by any of us can and should,at anytime be open to debate or criticism..atimes,people here advice formatting as the best solution-which i disagree to(it shd be the last option when all other methods have failed)...
also,i dont see any reason why people should take a high bridge when a better shortcut has been provided especially when he aint aware of it..
so is it wrong to inform of such shortcut?
i like to explore options and even welcome more of it,if u can introduce them to me...
the situation mostly dictates the best method to use but from my experience, customers like to see "magic"..eg in some cases,if a customers system is infected, and the "format" engineer wipes/install the system in just 45mins over someone like me who wld want to diagnose the problem properly and scan the system for over an hr...then start repairing it afterwards...the format-engineer looks the hero in such situation..
but in a situation where the customer has important files and cant afford a "format",i wld instantly be the hero(cuz he wont lose his files, applications)even if i take 2days..
our job here is to provide not too vast options...cuz in the end,the customer/client decides which to use...

pls enlighten me.....if u can figure out thermal gel is dry;know its the cause of ur 12sec outage and even apply it... then why are u here?u must either be a hardware tech or a wannabe who wants to take over adetwin's job..so pls kindly introduce urself...

another diy fan that wants to take my own job..i thank God u posted this after my debate with all4naija-he would have crucified me(he preferred the update to a clean install so u dont have complications) grin grin grin grin grin..in ur situation,i agree with him..
u pple would ignorantly start a war and run to nairaland for us to inherit the problems and in turn say "thank u".complaints like this would start attracting an assessment charge on this site soon(the request has been forwarded to the computer section board)
now back to u,
1..Where is he getting the ISO from to do the clean install?..as he asked
it may be corrupt or so
2.there are certain terms and conditions required to make a clean format..eg a compatibility test
3..your system must meet the requirements needed
4..a certain hardware may not be compatible or has failed...eg...if the health of ur hard disk is failing ie having bad sectors,u may have done the install properly but the bad sectors have hindered the startup..
5..state ur laptop model, ram size needed in advising u if ur laptop is even fit for the update..
u can contact me on 08061679732...
