Appeal Court Ruling: Does It Mean Ekweremadu Will Preside Over Screening On Wed? by NgeneUkwenu(f): 4:20pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Following the failure of Saraki to get a reprieve from the Appeal Court today regarding his trial, it then means he will have his days in court on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Consequently, in his absence, the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremmadu will have to preside on Wednesday when the final batch of the ministerial nominees would be screened and possibly confirmed. Interesting scenario... 14 Likes 5 Shares

In theory, he has to appear in court to face his trial but I fully expect him not to appear in court that day. This is a man who twice had bench warrants issued against him and nothing happened. Saraki would also say that he has a pressing national assignment and because of that he can't afford to appear in court. Truth is that he is higher than the court. The CCT is like a dog that can only bark without biting. 4 Likes 2 Shares |
