I know chi50 gave an answer already, but please, I need some clarification.
For the English issue, the school didn't even request for anything from me. The school said they didn't need any prove. That means I won't have anything to attach for the English stuff. Hope I'll be safe? Secondly, do I just walk into any court and tell them I want my documents certified? Thanks in anticipation of your prompt reply.
Graham355:
@all, please I have two questions. My app Is SVP

1. I wasn't asked for English evidence before I was given admission so I didn't take one. Do I need it

2. Do I also have to provide certified copies of my transcript and certificate along side my eCOE

please I need prompt response. God bless

After a little research I came up with this. The checklist doesn't contain any English language requirement but it is stated that different countries have different requirements so I am not completely sure yet...

RMIT, although it is dependent on the course, pfl mistakenly applied for engineering management for me which required englist test, I was offered the admission with the condition that I passed any english test. PFL later reapplied for my choice course which is Environmental engineering and I was offered a full admission, without any english wahala.

I sincerly do not understand the Moderators here, why was I banned? Even if I violated any rule who was I not informed or warned. One thing you guys must note is you cannot ban anyone totally from Nairaland. I came explaining my rare experience and path to Australia, and all of a sudden I notice I am banned.

Suit yourself whoever banned me. All I know is I cannot be banned from Nairaland.

Greetings to gurus in the house,

Reading through all the messages here , i can confidently say am proud to be a Nigerian again.
The future is bright cos of you generous people like you.

Pls help me, Here is my story:

I have done 2 semesters with university of wollongong in Dubai

Out of total 12 courses , i have completed 4
I got admission to university of wollongong Australia to continue my study;
I have paid for 3 courses and OSHC in australia and currently expecting eCOE;

My concern is that I want my wife to join me in Australia, we have 3 kids but none of them will follow us until i get PR;

I wish i could take my application and my wife application together, but am scared of rejection, moreso , since i felt i have
a better chance if there is no attachment;

Although my account statement before payment is averaging N7m in the past 4 months;

I have 6 years experience before resigning in february, 2015 to pursue this academics.

QUESTIONS

1. What my chance of securing VISA alone?
2. Adding my wife to it what is our chance?
3. Is it true that is i am given and my wife seek dependent visa, it could take 5 months?

kindly advise please. help ur boy

hello house,

please i'm a little confused about migrating to Australia through skill select.

what category of visa do i need to select for the EOI as a skilled worker (CSOL) because there is a section on the site that says:
"The following five visas must be applied for following submission of a successful Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect:

Business Talent (Permanent) visa (subclass 132)
Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188)
Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)
Skilled - Nominated visa (subclass 190)
Skilled - Nominated or Sponsored (Provisional) visa (subclass 489)."

And is it compulsory that I take the test of English(IELTS) before submitting the EOI?
thanks
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by chuckdee13(m): 4:04pm On Oct 21, 2015
As a skilled worker u will be applying for either subclass 189,190 or 489. in ur case since ur occupation is on CSOL u will apply for 190. hope u have assessed ur qualifications with ur assessing body. and yes u need to write ur english test before u submit ur EOI so that u claim the correct points.

If your skill is not listed on SOL/CSOL then you don't qualify.

To prove that you qualify for any skill you nominate, you have to get assessed by the assessing body for that skill by applying to the body first and submitting evidence before you use the results to do your EOI. You'll also have to write the applicable English test.

Go to the first post on this page by pingu2k5 and follow the links he posted. You need to carefully research before you jump in and start any of the processes.

This is just my 2cents and most of us here(including me) are going the school route so the responses you get here on direct PR through skilled worker migration may be few and far between.

Hope this helps.

Non-SVP takes 3months counting from when your application got to Pretoria.

The Questions can be anything, depending on what you put in your application form and the documents you submitted(or did not submit).

Ah ok! cheesy

Well, I'm not sure but my guess is that the weight limit applies per individual. So you are allowed 1 luggage of that weight limit, your wife is allowed hers and your kids are allowed theirs too. You should check that out.

Its been almost 3 months since my arrival, and I've been lucky to have been attending interviews on a weekly basis. I grew stronger after each interview, as I used the weakness as a strength in d next one - thanks to d feedback culture here. No dulling na immediate resumption.
