For example, a simple basic experiment given to new Rosicrucians is the candle light experiment which is a members only exercise but I want to share parts of it to answer your question. The aim of the exercise is to train the mind to concentrate effectively, assimilate easily and to learn meditation.

Firstly get a candle stick and light it up
Sit close to the lighted candle just few metres away with your back flat on a chair and your feet on the ground.
Now gaze at the candle without blinking your eyes for as long as possible.
Do this until you lose your thoughts and the flame become the only thing on your mind.
When you feel you are tired or the need to stop just stop slowly and keep doing it for as long as you want until desired concentration is achieved.

This is a very simple exercise to improve your concentration. It can help you especially as a student who can't concentrate to read. It will help you master meditation. It will help you in many ways you cannot even begin to fathom. I am not supposed to be posting this but I feel people tend to criticise what they don't know. So here's an AMORC exercise for you. I hope you are satisfied.

Cults are everywhere. And they spring up suddenly like dandelions in spring. These are flowers you do not want to pick. They may look nice, but they are more like poisonous weeds than real flowers.

I grew up very poor and became a cult member to alleviate my poverty. Only when I left the cult did I become reasonably secure- but that was because real thinking began to replace the ridiculous magical thinking that ruled me when I was in a cult.

I was expecting your book to be free since you sound so convincing. You joined a group to alleviate your poverty? Oh how sad!!! I feel bad for you Pierre. Congrats on your new book launch though. I wish you financial success.

AMORC teaches reincarnation, while Christianity says otherwise. Fratermathy as a Catholic, how do you balance this contradiction.

There's no contradiction. Reincarnation in AMORC is not a fixed concept. This means members are free to accept it or not. Members are also free to interpret it however they deem fit. I've interpreted Rosicrucian reincarnation and harmonised it with the Catholic traditional theory of heaven, hell & purgatory. Some members have done away with reincarnation altogether. It all depends on what you want to believe. However, AMORC do have experiments to prove the existence of reincarnation to any skeptic.

Mathy, I have read through your perceive notion about your sect, firstly I must point out to you in reasonable terms, all what you have said, presenting it in a systematic and harmless form is utter deception. It an art.

Its a new age form of deception. An example, Obama has perfected this art in mainstream America hence bringing into display whoredom and lawlessness against the laws of God. (A drift a way from the argument)

You claim that the reason why this thread exits is solely based on the fact that you want to clear misconceptions and extrememist views held by the general public against your sect, but I put it to you while you are on course to make us believe that, you have an ulterior motive,

And that is expanding your membership base not because you'll like to but because you must have discovered your path and this self discovery lead to your awareness of possession of certain qualities eg power of conviction that'll make people believe you and follow you.

That is the tool you are cultivating....now to the advantage of your sect! But as the naked truth stands, its remains deception!

You composure and maturity that seems to be with flaws boils to the fact the people who are questioning are not in the know of your beliefs... Notwithstanding your animalistic traits surfaced immediately the name of a rebel was mentioned.

And that is one characteristic members of secret societies possess. They are oppressive and very intolerant, they try within their power to victimise secretly while painting a saint in the outside world.

You talk about reincarnation?

Since the soul or spirit can begin a new life after mortal death of the body, you must have experienced it to be an authority in this, I too, because I need no one to lecture me on this bc I must have experience it in my past life as expected.

Please I like you to tell me who you were in your former life and your past history. if you can't provide this answer, then I poised to believe whoever discovered the knowledge behind reincarnation is faux because he never experienced it.

Secondly on same matter how do you explain a scenario where I lived a former life of an assassin then died and my soul/spirit rebirth another of an animal which later dies and rebirths and so on, and we all know that the most important part of human live is the soul/spirit and that's the entity bound to reap the deeds it sowed on earth be it good or bad...

Now how is this entity able to receive it due reward of evil or good in different ages and times when he keeps rebirthing! Isn't it an unending cycle where judgement is disappears eventually.

And doesn't it sound contradictory to your belief of karma although its universal.

Which sounds better to the human brain your belief on this subject that will raise unending arguments or what my bible says;

Hebrews 9:27 King James Version (KJV)
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after
this the judgment:

ARMOC seem to believe that wealth focus etc are forces and they demand blood which can come in the form of dedication or animal or human blood for those that want shortcut. is this true. secondly, are you people encouraged to offer sacrifices of blood, including the holy mass which is the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus. please explain this to me.

Although I have already answered most of these questions in the course of the thread, I'll still reiterate my points for the sake of clarity.
AMORC doesn't demand blood and I really don't even get the concept of blood request at all. What is the blood used for? How is it collected? I don't get it.
Anyway AMORC has never asked me or anyone I know, including members of 50years and counting, for blood sacrifices. This is so because;

1. AMORC is not a cult and therefore demands nothing from members other than the payment of annual dues.
2. AMORC is not a religion and has no religious figure that is worshipped at all.
3. AMORC doesn't give its members wealth or mysterious powers so there's no need to make sacrifices for anything or to get what is non existent. AMORC is a school, a university of life.
4. AMORC doesn't believe nor encourage fetishism of any form including sacrilegious blood sacrifices.
5. AMORC is a free society and if members don't like what they see, they can easily leave and no one will even notice.
6. AMORC doesn't practise any "holy mass" as you've said so we don't believe in the transmutation of bread and wine to body and blood. That's a Catholic belief and has nothing whatsoever to do with AMORC.
7. Above all, AMORC's basic beliefs lay upon karma-the law of repercussions. AMORC believes that whatsoever you do will come back to haunt you or bless you depending on whether it's bad or good. So if anyone kills another person, HE CAN NEVER ESCAPE KARMA.

You ignited my interest in AMORC and i searched for someone who people said is one of your members in my neighbourhood. when i aproached him he admitted and was in line with many things you said. he even claim he is now a master and can command things like favour and opportunity to come to him through meditation. but he said if i want to begin i should stop eating meat and eat only fish. if AMORC really teaches this, why should we stop eating meat?

I don't know where the person got that tenet from. Maybe it's his personal idiosyncrasy. However be rest assured that I do eat meat very well and so too with many members I know. AMORC doesn't dictate what and what not to eat. However, medical specialists, as you already know, will tell you that fish is a better deal than meat. This has nothing to do with AMORC so please meet the person that told you and ask him to clarify if it's AMORC's teachings or his personal beliefs.
Secondly, be wary of any stranger who just tells you he is an AMORC member. Many of the times, people use amorc as a face cover for membership in other societies.. The average person that tells you without warrant or purpose that he is an AMORC member should be seen with skepticism until you've known his purpose. Most amorc members would rather keep to themselves than talk about their membership except it's for a certain purpose.

@OP Grail Message is not based on religious mysticism as u said. U may do well to correct that impression in your own words to close that circle u have opened for yourself (if you understand what I mean). The Grail Movement and The Grail Message are purely two different things. Grail Movement in Nigeria is an organization of people that have read the Grail message and strive to live by the truth as contained in the book. Such people come together to tell other human beings of the work called the GRAIL MESSAGE authored by Abd Ru Shin through Public lectures, Book exhibitions, radio and TV programs amongst other avenues. Through the same organization the sealing is also performed on adherents of the Grail Message who request for it by one called for the purpose, also such adherents who request are permitted to wear the Grail cross(Grail cross and sealing are not the same). If you have examined the book and not just flipping through it you will not miss the fact that Grail Message rejects Mysticism. In its introductory Message "For your Guidance" the author also spelt out that he brought no new religion or sect. That there is an organized body called Grail Movement or Grail Message Foundation as they are called in the USA doesn't make it a religion please. There are also many adherent of the Grail Message who don't even make any contact with the Movement. having read through your response and answers to people I have no doubt that you know what makes an organization a religious body. I am sure you are on a the part to the maturity of your spirit and I have no doubt that if you remain in Ernest that the mercies and grace of the creator of all the worlds will lead you to the one true path to the luminous gardens of the matured human spirit. Wishing you love and strength.

Greetings fellow nairalanders,

I have created this thread to achieve a lot of purposes. Firstly, I am more concerned with the mediocrity of Nigerians and especially Nairalanders concerning the true aims, objectives and nature of esoteric organisations in Nigeria. One of the most frequently criticised one is AMORC (Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis) which I am a very proud member of. I have seen so many nairaland threads on this organisation and my findings are that most people speculate too much about AMORC and other allied mystical, mystery and esoteric schools. Hence, I want to use this medium to enlighten everyone that seeks to be so enlightened about the real nature of AMORC. I will be as objective as possible and my affiliations will not cloud my statement of the truth no matter how it is perceived by anyone. SO I suggest that you ask ANY mind boggling question or misconceived notions that need address or even state your experiences that need interpretations. Meanwhile, if you are not here to actualise the purpose of this thread, I suggest that you simply ignore and move on. Dont come here and sell out your fanaticism and ignorance by asserting bunkums.

With best wishes for Peace Profound,
Frater Mathy.
Frater Mathy you are doing great. I grew up with rosicrucians n have never seen any person that is more calm ,knowledgible n clear thinking like them. From Akhnaton's concept of 1 God to Jesus's love sermons I'm more than convinced that the order is the foremost true partner in the cosmic plans for humanity. 2016 will I enter the porter by God's grace.

peace profound.

I went through every page of this thread. I was shocked to see the other side of this Op. I read through his seductive and convincing style of writing, one that is worthy of commendation actually. I noticed is anger and negative tendencies when his belief was criticized. I noticed his ability to address questions with deviations from the subject matter and further persuasion of the reader.

But most importantly, I wonder how come this Op; known for his intolerable and uncivil character in other sections like Romance could appear so subtle, cool and calm here. Exactly to what end? There must be a higher motive I believe.
