i agree they are the most transparent, but saying they are the best,i'm not okay with that . . .why don't they use jamb?? . . .in UNIBEN,O.A.U, UNN e.t.c . . .your jamb and p.ume are added together and divided to give your agg score, thats the best . .how will i have 266 in jamb 74 and someone with 205 in jamb and 76 in p.ume will be higher than me,that's absurd . .you are only saying this cos you were admitted.

LWKMD grin grin shocked seriously? Well ui tried to use jamb and olevel in the past...what was d result?most of those admitted failed out in yr1 and in d succeeding yrs...well trust them once uv failed u have failed even if it means far lesser students in dat yr. Ask me y pls?lol...let me help...BKUS OF D MAGO MAGO IN JAMB and also olevel...tanks to miracle centres. Well uis method is d best...i wish all unis will follow them sef. I mean if u got 266 in jamb prove urself in d putme...its as simple as that. There is nothing absurd abt that. Well i wish u read and digested well what he said before replyin
Lol...ur lucky u didnt get my first epistle...tank glo for that wink

I believe aggregate is the best.It makes everything leveled and gives you equal chances with others.

if you can get 76 in p.utme ,how did you get 205 in jamb? . . That's why an agg is better, prepare for both better, knowing that the 1st exam is as important as the 2nd

Lmao!
.
Jamb exam is never genuine, you are never sure of what you wrote till u see ur result.
.
During the Jamb eras especially PPT where candidates suffer alot. Somebody would put in heavy efforts and at the end get peanut.
.
What UI is trying to say is that, come they can give u the oppurtunity to prove ur worth without fear.
.
I wish all Universities would mimic this feat.

Great. Why do you think it's only for medicine? So dental surgeons aren't doctors? or dey ain't part of MDCN?

Hi! I'm just seeing this thread for the very first time now. I'm a 300 level MBBS student in the prestigious university of maiduguri. Despite the insurgency we still strive hard to contribute our quota in the Nigerian health sector.
This thread is a nice one as it allows medical colleagues nation wide to anastomose and rub minds together.

I've been reading some posts about the fear of physics, mathematics etc amongst MBBS aspirants and MBBS students in situ. There's nothing to be afraid of. Una own better sef.
I was an Arts student in FGC, Ikom. Finished as an Arts student; wrote O'levels in Arts only. Then left secondary school and decided to study Medicine.
I had never done physics before. Never did chemistry. The only science subject I did was biology. But I still wanted Medicine.
Between May/June 2007 and Nov/Dec 2008, I read physics and chemistry on my own, attended a few lessons, sat for WASSCE Nov/Dec that year in the science and arts subjects, smashed them, went on to JAMB & post-UTME smashed them too.
It was in the university during my pre-medical year that the paranoia of physics and chemistry chased me considering where I came from. It was even worse. University physics & chemistry was a lil tougher. But I had all As in all- first and second semester.
And this is where the relevance of this post comes in. You had done the science subjects (physics, maths, etc) in your secondary school. So you have a strong foundation. Or at least, you have a foundation. You have an advantage. Fear not; for the physics you see today, you shall see them no more
. This guy is currently in 600level. An art student! One of the brightest inspiration i've ever come across on Nairaland(not excluding my oga Dr. Lagusta). For some of you who do not believe in yourself...well, it means you're not ready to make anything useful out of yourself. And for some of you who are good and dextrous in giving wrong advice...well, i pity y'all....... A word is Enough for the wise.

Congrats tho, since you're studying your dream course,i wish you all the best,
