After 3 threads and all the lengthy epistles, i dont expect anybody on this thread to withhold vital information or package answers at the Point of Entry. Dont forget that next time you visit the US they may want to check your receipts vis a vis your transcript. The Border officer that you will meet on your return to the USA may be one of those notorious ones transferred from Houston POE and they dont need introduction. This thread was built on honesty and forthright answers and it should be encouraged to stay that way. Anything apart from that is an aberration and unnecessary risk. Best of luck to every expectant mum. 21 Likes |

All Glory to God for a safe journey. It could only have been Him. we (hubby, daughter and I) left Lagos 19th Oct @ 935pm via klm through Atlanta to Houston No fit to fly was asked, smooth journey, wonderful poe. The officer asked how long we were staying,we told him,he asked how much we had on us and if and where we work,we answered yes and mentioned names of our offices. He stamped us for 6months. No question about the pregnancy was asked, ofwhich we had already prepared all documents with respect to that(appointment letter, receipt and all) because that was the basis to which we applied for our visa in Lagos embassy At agriculture, only indomie, rice, pormo was siezed. The beans was certified weavil free and I was allowed to take in all my baby's cereal, grounded egusi, pepper, ori, maggi and the likes of Naija food. I used wheel chair all through and didn't regret using it,it made it a lot easier to carry my hand luggage and my sleeping toddler. May God keep granting us favour in Jesus name 7 Likes |

MiddyO: I had the same challenge especially as I'm in Frisco, not main Dallas. Eventually ordered the sim pack online last thursday choosing free shipping. Still haven't received it. But customer service said it will take 5-7 business days to deliver. I'm still waiting for it..... Fiesta is one of those Hispanic stores. They are in Houston but don't know if there is any in Dallas 1 Like |

Ok. You can send me a mail. Since i already have a line of communication with an hospital and obgyn practice, let me see what I can do for you when I go for my next appointment on Friday. If that works, you would then need to search for short let apartments nearby to get booking for accommodation 1 Like |

oyin3: My obgyn told me the screening is supposed to be done every 2 to 3 years. I did it a couple of weeks ago at almost 35 weeks since the test was free under my self pay package and I wasn't sure if I did it last year during my last preg. |

Finally our princess came this morning at Methodist sugar land after 18 months of prayers and waiting for the lord. Awww, the LORD is good. Dr. Amajoh was on hand to took the delivery herself even though it was her off day she made sure the mother and little princess are well and sound. Kudos to soulcare for all the wonderful job they are doing for the preggis and for all the contributors cos i learnt alot from the forum. Wishing all preggis successful testimony. 25 Likes |

thanks to everyone who answered me... but i have some questions...what is the difference between a doctor"s correspondence and a doctor'"s letter? i see people use it here. but i dont get it.. also i was recently rejected a vacation visa oct 6th and i reapplied, can i still say i am going to stay in the same place for childbirth cause thats where my host is. this was my conversation at the last appointment bvelow: vo=(hand me your document) me=i did vo=why do you wanna travel? me=to visit my favorite aunt in kansas vo=how long will you be staying? me=two weeks, although she wants me to stay longer. but just two weeks vo=what do you do? me=i head the call center agents. vo=are you married? me=yes vo=do you have kids?(typing with a straight face) me=no,but i am expecting(dont know if he heard that last part) and he said those dreaded word,"sorry we cannot give you visa now, handed me that blue print. i asked if i can re-apply and he said in 90 days i said i really wanted to go no,cause i wont have time then. he said well... then i left.. he didnt even check my documents after packaging everything. i paraphrased most of our conversation though.. please people what did i say wrong? now i want to declare childbirth 1)how do i go about it what do i say? 2) i am trying to get doctors letter both from nigeria and usa,but the bill is out of my budget and difficult to get..the us hospital that wants to give me letter isnt in kansas, should i change my location to another city, but that will incure another budget that wont fit in mine? 3)also should i use the same address i used as my host this time? 4)should the hospital that wants to accept me send a letter or an email to the embassy accepting me or how do i go about this?do they do that? (p.s) i dont have any travel history except ghana, i need help as my appointment is getting close. i am so clueless, all the guru"s please help and sorry for the typo"s... if any of my question isnt clear enough, please ask and ill explain. awaiting responses please. |

Hi Nairalanders, Please I need your advise. Renwed my Visa in March 2015 via dropbox and travelled to the US in June with husband and 3yr old daughter on family vacation. I'm 20weeks pregnant now an plan aving my baby in the US. I was planning to use Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St loius but I see some post stating Mobap has stopped accepting international maternity patients. Is this still true? What other affordable hospitals are in Missouri, St loius? As I av family stayin in St loius so an hospital there will save me accommodation fees. Pls respond |

Cinakin , your case is as simple as ABC. For u to be here means u plan to birth in the US so why was your travel reason 'to visit your fave aunt'. Then u chip in, 'I'm expecting' U made it real easy for the vo to refuse u. You came off as borderline dishonest and unprepared. As in, make I just get the visa. Afterall I told Them I was pregnant. Mm mh! No be so! That's what u did wrong All the questions u asked also shows u haven't done due diligence. Dedicate Friday_Sunday to combing this thread For various budget options. I believe Part 1 is better. After that, the choice of staying with family vs cheaper alternative is for u to make. Note: the research is for ur own good and not wickedness . Be also prepared to answer to the ? Why u lied the ist time 12 Likes |

cinakin: Madam the only solution to cluelessness is STUDYING and READING this thread thoroughly. All the so-called Gurus cant do jack if you don't help yourself with the available information. Someone shared an experience similar to yours few pages back. She got denied initially but declared her pregnancy at the final interview and she was granted. Best of luck. 2 Likes |
