omonnakoda: You talk of claim! I have given you my name, my wiki article and my book. And I am not "Eboe" as you deem it spelt. Because I use Igbo words doesn't make me Igbo. Or is that not your claim for the Ikwerre people? I guess you are back for more backlash. You have nothing again on board to use other than a missing R and an added L. You talk about ABUSE! I smile at your folly. Who started abuse here! You embarrassed your great grandfathers by derailing a thread that has virtually nothing to do with you. You slapped your matre on the face by making uncouth statements. To crown it up, you made a joke of your O'Level (if you have it at all) by focusing on medium and not matter. You also indulged yourself as a troll and a foolhardy one at that by veiling your self-acclaimed scholarship. I have nothing more to say to you and your type. Your words are meaningless. When you have something coherent to iterate, the world will know. Unknown Troll with no sense of decorum. Tribal bigot with no sense of direction, purpose or even future. Let me give you a job to do; translate this phrase, "Mad Man", into 19 Nigerian Languages. And DONT EVER MAKE ME INSULT YOU AGAIN! It is a waste of good poetic words that should be channeled to well deserved foes and fools and not nameless trolls like you. 5 Likes |

omonnakoda: To be candid here, you Sir, cannot prove your case. Your opposite is providing logical arguments and such displaying traits characteristic of intellectual jaw-jaw Sir, I would think you'd tackle him with concrete even if contestable facts as fodder for debate. But you seem vague and non-directional. Counter the OP"s submission. Enlighten us. 1 Like 1 Share |

fratermathy: The beauty of your work should not be sullied by your pandering to rabble rousers as I can see that you're getting worked up (naturally so). Your antagonist is not attacking your arguments but taking jabs at your psyche to wear you down. Should you resort to shot slinging in a manner he has espoused you may cast yourself in unfavourable light. So let it be. Each his to his own. No research is all conclusive. With the light of new evidence additions and subtractions are made. Hence your detractors should understand that your stand is not infallible and as such act accordingly rather than getting all riled up. 1 Like |

fratermathy: This is one of the reasons I stopped posting stuff here Some folks have so much hate in their lives consuming their being and they can't do without calling you out over inane issues and suppositions. But learning must go on so kudos to you and others that are still carrying the torch of enlightement in these scholarly dark times. 1 Like |

psalmizt: No offence intended to the good people of Isoko! I posted from my vantage point. I did not intend to stir still waters and that was why I added a clause to my inclusion of Isoko which means it is contested. |

fratermathy:I'm sorry if poking my nose but i have to say this. It's common knowledge in Urhoboland that Orogun people are generally bilingual- speaking Urhobo and Ukwani due to some understandable factors.. 1. Orogun people are paternally from Ukwani(Orogun is the daughter of the great Urhobo patriarch Oghwoghwa, the last of 4 children- Ogor, Ughelli, Agbarha and Orogun). 2. Orogun territory also shares geographical boundaries with Ukwani hence cultural mix. NB: they are fully Urhobo people and recognise themselves as such.... Wadoo. 3 Likes 1 Share |

But OP it's we note these observations. 1. Effurun-Otor(Ephron-Otor) and Olomu in not in Ughievwen, they are separate Urhobo kingdoms or clans among the 22 total with their own dialects. 2. Enerhen is an Udu community which speak Udu dialect but are in Uvwie L.G for administrative proposes(maybe due to boundary adjustment) 3. Abeg no Urhobo dialect is 'impure' jst that some are more largely spoken, stronger and tonal than others and Ughievwen is not an exception. Ughievwen is my mother tongue though I'm paternally from Ughelli and speak Ughelli dialect quite alright, i love Ughievwen/Udu dialect maybe 'coz i was raised with it... It's so so melodious however i agree it's quite conc. Or technical if u like. Oghene bruphiyo kewe kirobo wo kpa''Urhobo kpenu(God bless you as you promote Urhobo culture). 2 Likes |

Ufuos4Love: I know this but I became surprised when she said the whole community speaks Ukwuani. I was under the notion that they speak both languages but she hinted that those in Arhagba-Orogun can speak only Ukwuani. |

fratermathy:I don't think so because i know some people from Arhagba-Orogun who speak Urhobo very fluently. It's possible her family speaks more of Ukwani but i don't think it should be applied to the whole of Arhagba-Orogun. 1 Like |

scholes0: I know u are very vast in stuffs lyk dis buh u got this wan wrong. Isoko is a language of it's own with various dialects. The Isoko language is older Dan the urhobo language with Erowha(in Isoko) being the oldest clan in Isoko and urhobo land. many of the urhobo clans(okpe, evrheni, uvwie,udU,orogun etc) migrated from Isoko land But beyond dis Isoko and urhobo are wan people with different LANGUGES. |
