Hehe.. Congratulations. Welcomed to North East Nigeria. It's a wonderful place to be. Nysc is also what brought me there for the first time. I'm from rivers state and have never been to the north. Hence the first unusual thing I prepared for was the very long journey (about 14hrs) from PH to Jalingo. The place is good with a unique climate (extreme heat and extreme cold, sand storm), unique people, unique language and food, unique behaviors, etc. If you love trying or new stuffs, I think you'll definitely enjoy the place, trust me. If you need to keep in touch, just let me know. I'll be shuttling your camp very frequently.

Any bank you can think of, is very operational here. The place is like every other state and/or city. It's quite developed too. Has accommodation according to how much you have. Though houses are even cheaper than you probably payed in school. From 25k and above, you can get an apartment. I got a bedroom flat for 50k in Jalingo. So you can imagine.

You're welcome. Cost of living is not really high. Just okay. Transportation is cheap within the town. Almost anywhere is #50 by keke... It's interesting. Security is guaranteed. There's no cause for alarm. Accommodation is cheap and affordable. Any amount you have can get you something. From 25k and above. Religiously, the state is a Christian dominated state. There are Muslims but there's no problems at all.

About the religion, there's the presence of NCCF in the state. They'll be in camp everyday from day 1 to the last day. Where are you traveling from?

Yea Adamawa camp usually holds in Taraba because of insurgency issues. However the camp is no longer in that government college on your letter. The venue is the NYSC permanent orientation camp at sibre, Ardo-Kola LGA. It'll be fun though.

But na cheap transportation dey chop money pass, cos at that point u no go like trek even 100metres cos u go say it's just 50naira.

Hehe... Actually na true o. But it's just that the state get very large land mass hence everywhere far from everywhere. So you can't help it than to always use the keke at a relatively cheap rate.

Yea that's what is always there. Was also on mine. However they moved to their permanent site at sibre. Do it's the NYSC that hasn't updated their site. That's it.
