Someone was also threatening to tear his own passport here in Nairobi, l told him he should make sure it is the current one he just got renewed last month at the Nigerian High Commission, Nairobi and not his old passport that has expired. After which he should show me the passport he would be traveling out of Kenya with to go do his traditional wedding in Enugu come december!

If they are outside Nigeria and need to travel back home, they would need a travel document. December is fast approaching, so those mandatory visits to the village, must take place. And if they are within Nigeria and need to travel abroad for business to China, Malaysia, Dubai etc, they would still need a passport. Yes or No?

Either way, the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) is still going to make extra money from them this year, as they would need to replace those passports. Igbo man and travelling, is like water and garri. Inseparable. Just relax.
