For a very long time now, I made a decision to not comment on this tread any more but from the look of things I don't think I can hold it any more. Sincerely speaking when questions are been asked here and u know quite well u don't have a good reply then we can as well ignore the question instead of making the person that asked the question look stupid, every mum on this forum must have taken little of his or he time to read tru the thread but I believe some of us wud still want to make double confirmation on the issue that is bothering, so I don't see reasons why we shud not welcome and accomodate them on the forum.

The forum belong to no one and it also belong to everybody, all I see on this thread now is cacurs. Once u are not their friend they will start attacking you . I have lots of mums I met on this forum that prefer to contact me directly just because they don't want to be rubbished . Sincerely its unfair and uncalled for. We are all matured mind and I believe we shud act it. Let me bring to our notice that most of the mum here are not first time mum , some has children already and even older than us but just because its a faceless forum does not mean we can just reply anybody the way we like or look down on them.

if you don't have any answer to give why not ignore, at least the little been spent on typing the attacking words can also be used in answering their question, Anyway thanks to the likes of tvegas and phema justwise whom has never seen it as a burden to answer questions, these are the people that made the PART 1 OF THE THREAD SO MEANINGFUL.

I take my leave

@lotalways and lollyberry. Permit me to agree with you as the way the message is passed sometimes- it can be rude.
But on the message itself? I disagree with u. It just has to be said. To want to birth in the US_ visa process to poe to documentation? Not easy.
I speak now as a teacher. How can a person learn without research? There are some questions a quick search on google can answer.
I say this because, if these 'busy' peaople aren't prepared they make 'eyaa' mistakes. For egs I have read of a person that reached a location and now discovered the fees were above her pocket.
Well if I may suggest what a dear friend suggested on the other site, if @Justwise could create links to most frequently (and hence annoying) questions and put on the page 1.
Egs- TVgas put steps on baby's documentation. That page will be referred to etc etc. If the prson is now referred and dosent wanna read or be spoonfed...

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by olokings(m): 11:51am On Oct 23, 2015
Ma'am you are not fat from it.

@ the initial observer. ... If u take a look back at progress so far, you will find out that's it's the same folks who REFUSE to read and research after even been advised to do so mostly NEVER come back here to share experiences nor hospital findings.

They only venture back again when they got stuck up with one process or the other.

Truth is this thread will become stale if people (someone takes a decision to go 12000km to birth in the usa buh don't wanna put a single effort to it! ) don't research and add to the info bank of this thread. Sooner than leta even those conveniently priced hospitals n obgyn will get fed up with our population.

Nothing beats coming here, reading thru, getting/understanding the logic of the process and then venture out on ur own and when you succeed.
Come back here and add to the archive such that when visitors come here and they read they have options to choose from and not the case of everybody forming a single line to one place.

Toy need to read back and see the kind of questions people ask and what really tips off is they lie thru their teeth with I HAVE BEEN A SILENT FOLLOWER FOR SOME TIME / I HAVE READ PART 1 AND 2 OF THIS FORUM. ...

Really? ! U read and still asking cheap doctors hospitals et al in same location when most times these issues were discussed no more than 10 pages backwards. ..please . ... these folks don't wanna

I have not pm'd buh simply sighting people's reference of creation posters got me profiling their postsand screen grabbing needed info for what I will need to progress venture.

We shouldn't take advantage of others by coming here to lie i have read when u have not even looked 3 posts upward from ur so called posting right on same page. ..

If you are a novice with browsing the forum say it and let others advice u accordingly. ..don't go claiming I have read and then drop one funny request. ..people will only respond in like manner. ...

We ve seen newbies (myself including) get a gud grasp on the logic of things and are now making headway carrying others along where dey can. ..

This is not d battle of the titans buh rather a case of people who want to have their hands held to obgyn n even enter labour room by others who have been there done that. ...

No offense meant whatsoever. ...

I can imagine the amount of pms the likes of tvegas phema et al get on their emails. ..

Hmmm.

Lotalways: Hello Fellow Nler, pls for someone with a valid usa and Canadian visa going to canada via usa with delta or United airline, where will be you POE?

Your POE will not be the US if you are not going into the US, even if you will be travelling with a US airline.

Your POE will be the first city you land in Canada.

If you are not in Nigeria with your wife go online and print the form, fill it out and do the notary where ever you are scan a copy to your wife's email or email it directly to them. Post the original to your wife so she can take it along with her when she is ready to go to the passport office.
I did the same thing with my first baby but the only issue was that they gave her 1 year passport and told us to go to Nigeria Us Embassy to get the five year passport. Reason for all this was because the person who was to help my hubby bring the original filled form did not show up with it at the time i went to the passport office and was told to asked my hubby to send it to them via email at the time so i can get the passport to travel.
Hope i answered your question?

hi people,
just realised i won't be able to carry more than 3K $ for my trip. People on this thread usually carry huge amounts (7-15K$)
do you think it's risky to have so little in cash and tell them that i have the rest on my cards (& don't like travelling with too much cash )
could they turn me back because of that ? undecided

Some people have traveled with such amount (or even less) and were successful, some others were not as lucky. I wouldn't risk it if i were you.

A lady here was sent back because she had $4,000 and had made part payment for the hospital fees. Another was detained until they were able to confirm her account balance from her Naija bank which was the next day. Some officers are overzealous. Better not to give them reasons to act it out.

If you insist though, choose you POE wisely.

Am sorry I totally disagree with your post. Note I am one of those that ignore such questions and pm's but I tell ya those questions could be setbacks and annoying too.

Part 1 of the thread was filled with so much info cos most posters shared such info's after doing their own researches for the benefits of us all. I hardly saw repetitive questions in part 1. I came here as a newbie too but instead of asking questions, I read thoroughly, made notes and printouts and also came to give feedbacks after each accomplishment.

How is asking someone to read through derogatory undecided if the thread is full of repetitive questions and answers how will good info be shared and progress made?

Most of the frequent posters like firsttymum actually keep this thread alive if not those repetitive questions will slowly kill this thread. And I don't think there is any caucus formed here. This thread is being read far and wide and I tell ya the US officials also read this thread so please quit the annoying repetitive questions and contribute your own info.

I go with olokings 100% on this. Peace

Most of the people asking a lot of "Repetitive Questions" just do a quick check on their past post....you will see

NO VISA story

NO POE story

NO Hospital story

NO Total Bill paid story

then they will come and ask for how to get visa for baby or passport for baby

or checkout for those that ask visa stories.
they hardly come back to post their own story
only a few exception to the rule

I mean COME-ON, be fair!!!!!

CONTRIBUTE!!!!! that's how to grow a community

my advice to the "So called Cacus" pls learn to IGNORE IGNORE and IGNORE, (waka pass) for any of these repetitive post
they will get the hint and do the needful
it's when you are kind enough to respond to point them to the right direction that they will say you are rude!

and no PMS either!!! most of the PMs i personally get, when i click on their NL name, no single post on this thread...HABA MANA!!!! pls fear God and google parasitic relationship. May God remove parasites from our midst IJN

Lol. Maybe he meant those medicaid people that claim his US citizenship entitles him to free insurance. But if it's the freebies they give to mother and Child upon delivery like diapers, clothes etc, you are entitled to them cos it's incorporated in your delivery costs
