which area is best to do ppa
A good question but it depend on you specifically hmmm I mean. What did u want to do in ur service year.
But for me. I will chose ADO ODO/OTA LOCAL GOVERNMENT.WHEN U GET TO CAMP THEY WILL TAG ADO ODO AS NUMBER 1.
because it is closely to lagos and many job opportunities that where I also did my ppa. But Abeokuta is okay but housing is expensive for corper unless corpses lodge BUT really as a friend the best for all my Brother out there in the incoming batch is to be in agbara or ado odo LGA okay because you will surely find ur means unless u are lazy

lol in my time, people that got there on monday (camp was to resume tuesday), still joined the queue on Tuesday. although they were in the front of the line since they woke early on Tuesday until rain started and we were all sent to the stadium. so everything scattered and back to square one.. Lol..

Will post pictures of our queueing that morning

I am. Same as saxwizard
One can get a bus/cab EIther from Sango park or iwo road. IT COULD either be the one going to o gun state direct or the one going to Lagos state but twill drop one at d express not sagamu exactltexactly.

You will see Sagam from Iwo road, just drop and take 70 or 80 naira bike to camp.

From all my ex corpers in Ogun state that served in public or government school. I have not heard any been paid uptill now so go to private schools and works for. 7000- 15000 naira depending on ur bargain and how many subject u can teach. Because in Ado odo OTA LGA ghost corpers are very high.
Re: Ogun State Batch B 2015 REPORT HERE by anthon47(m): 1:01pm On Oct 23, 2015
ALL PROSPECTIVE CORPER OF OGUN STATE. I ADVISED YOU TO MOVED FROM IBADAN IF U ARE NEAR D CITY BECAUSE THAT WHAT WE DID LAST YEARS. THE PARK ALREADY KNEW THAT PEOPLE ARE GOING TO NYSC CAMP WHICH THEY XAN BOARD ALL OF YOU AND DROP AT THE CAMP VICINITY BECAUSE BIKE WILL TAKE NOTHING LESS THAN #500 TO A JOURNEY OF THREE MINS. SO GET A CAB OR A DIRECT BUS FROM UR LOCATION BUT I ASSURED U IBADAN IS THE EASIEST AT THE LEFT BUS PARK AT IWO ROAD .

Tuesday June 2, 2015.Nysc Ogun state orientation camp, Batch A Stream 2.

We were on queue for hours and almost at the front when the heaviest rain i have seen in my life started.. The soldiers didn't do anything initially, they watched as the rain was beating us.. (one would have thought they planned it this way), until after about 10 minutes of us being soaked and our loads filled with water, they now told us to go to the stadium. A new queue started there again.

Very frustrating but a wonderful experience. smiley

Its a two way thing. I am currently serving in a public school that doesn't give accommodation or pay anything. We applied for state allowee tho and were expecting to receive 55k at service year end until we started hearing news here and there that they won't pay us. Guess what? I still don't care tho as i am still achieving my objective.

If your objective is to simply serve during your nysc year, then going for a private school is better (however be sure you will work your ass out without receiving an equivalent compensation for the kind of work you will be doing), if however you have other things to do during your service year, stay with a public school as you can easily negotiate the days you will be coming to sch or to not even come at all. As for me i go to my ppa at most twice a week and is the best thing ever.. Reason below.

I am gonna be writing a professional exam December (Acca) and this wouldn't have been possible if i don't have time to prepare for myself due to the heavy workload in private schools. However where i serve, even if i go there at all, i leave at most 2pm and thats all and continue my other tasks and preparation for exam.

So time is priceless. If u have other task you have lined up during nysc, just settle for a public school and u will be happy u did. The 7k u receive in a private school is not a good compensation for the heavy workload you will do there (dont forget overtimes are inclusive)

Welcoming everyone ahead to camp, I believe you'll all enjoy your stay.

Aitop is my name, i base in abeokuta but I work as a photographer during camp. I will not be around for stream 1 because my school exam was scheduled during the period; I'm still a student, but I will be around for the stream 2.

I will gladly be of help in terms if information regarding Abeokuta precisely. You can add me to the group if necessary 07062030977
