@myjoy I have nothing against you and please do not deactivate your account. I only want to advise you that care must be taken when advising people on stocks to buy. Do not sound like an insider who is giving expo, but analyse stocks based on available facts and figures. Whenever you change your opinion about a stock you recommended, it is good to notify your followers about your current opinion about such a stock. These are very good for your reputation on this thread. 4 Likes |

angelo82: History always have a way of repeating itself. Before in your widest imagination will you believe that FO will go back to N300 from N9 after many years in the wilderness ? Likewise TRANSCORP went back to N7 it IPO price from 50kobo also after 5yrs. Of which I benefited from it having bought mine @53kobo. Well i only pity those invested there short term fund, As for me and my household we are waiting for OANDO @N6 after NAIRA DEVALUATION. *ThE OcToPuS * |

Any information on the press conference/meeting held by Oando with NSE guys today? Some of us are stuck with OandO. Hoping their 3rd quarter is better. Was also hoping the part sale of their downstream business would help offset some of the debt. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by passwelle: 4:26pm On Oct 23, 2015 |
Just a little over a year ago, Dexter, myself and a few others were almost crucified for speaking out against the "optimism" of a certain Nobody as regards Oando. Aside of the corporate governance issues with the company, as a geologist, it was glaring then that Oando should have renegotiated the ConocoPhillips deal as their purchase price was too high. I exited on the 1st of Sept 2014, and faced the wrath of folks here who were hoping to see Oando at #100 within 6months. Dexter couldnt take the insults and crude remarks from the Oando faithful, he actually stopped posting here. And thus many missed his FO call in June of this year. The price of Crude oil will be bearish for some time to come. If in doubt, google the term "iran oil exports". 5 Likes |

well Oando has been on buyers beware since oil price declined. I bought at 28 sold at 16. The stock was cut up in COP deal. COP saw it coming and avoided the trouble. Uncle Wale go carry am. As soon as trouble bust the stock started down ward trend. Why buying a falling knife. somebody said there is no cheapness for stock price it may even go to bankruptcy ( not praying for that). Kindly beware of the bank that finance the COP deal too. Don't put your hard earn money there. It pained but I thank God, by cutting my loses I have recovered with PZ stock the time it droped to 17 . |

UkwuAmu:I posted this on the 9th of september. I have had running battles with some people here over oando. I have tried very much to caution myjoy about his ever optimistic advise and supposed inside connection and always put caveat when advising people to purchase stock. myjoy is not the one who get annoyed easily whatever you say to him. myjoy was heavily invested in oando and has been buying from when it was 28 and has been averaging down. That he has deactivated is a very dangerous trend . please somebody check on him and make sure he is okay . They actually beat my expectation . The projected loss was 500 million dollars but they topped it . oando has basically lost half of the money it paid for conocco phillip in less than a year . some people have started postulating nonsense that they want to crash the price . how many shares can they buy? why were they busy doing several private placements ? Oando board is made up of lawyers, very smart ones but it will go bankrupt eventually . paswelle, dex, elai and so many others warned . I am not here to tell you "i told you so" or rub salt on your wounds but to advise that we exercise caution. I pray we all learn from this and stop relying on supposed "insiders" moves to make investment decision please try and register on nigeriaretailinvestors.com . we are packaging a loaded website together and will attract the best analysts who can give valuable advise on how to invest in inclement times like these . people who have insider dealing don't brag about it . its a big lesson for all 7 Likes |

Oando actually has 2 billion dollars loss . They have cooked that result as much as they could . If you buy at 5 Naira you will sell at 2 Naira . Concentrate on other equities 1 Like |

Anybody that thinks falling oil prices is the reason for Oando loss is deceiving herself. Oando loss was simply as a result of financial recklessness and mismanagement by crooked management. 8 Likes |
