Even if OANDO sell for 50kobo before devaluation GOD knows I won't touch it.
I doubt if it will get to 50k.

Anybody that thinks falling oil prices is the reason for Oando loss is deceiving herself. Oando loss was simply as a result of financial recklessness and mismanagement by crooked management.

We are talking on stock price. Many other things certainly would contribute to this monumental financial loss.

I just dey laugh for here grin grin grin

I thought Nigerians have learnt lessons form the Intercontinental, Oceanic and Transcorp saga.

Stocks in Nigeria is just like Lotto/casino business, the shareholders are the players, while the company Directors are the casino owners.

Whether you lose of win, the casino owners always make money.

Raymond of DAAR communications is still alive.
The Transcop scammers are still alive, the owners of starcomms, Japul and those dead stocks are still living big.

None of them will ever apologize to shareholders for making them loose money.

People should learn to diversify into REIT, T.Bills and Mutual.

Stocks are the riskiest among all.

Lots of ITK people like you are the reason people loose money unnecessarily.

And we're did you get the fallacy that stock money goes into T.Bills, even some mutual funds from ARM and Stanbic are shielded from the Stock market.

I am not a novice to the Stock market bubbles, I have always been involved in stock market even when I am losing.

But I will never ever invest my emotions in any company I don't have the capacity to make decisions.

You probably never attended any AGM were you have to fight to question the Board of directors.

This is a stockmarket investment, you can always go the treasurt bill, real estate or mutual fund thread. Because Oando, Oceanic, Intercontinental, Daar communitation etc disappointed investors does not mean that the stockmarket is not a very good avenue for the informed and intelligent investors to build wealth for themselves and their progeny.

Cool down, no be fight oga.

Some of us have made good profit from Oando fluctuation in the last 5 months, the same Oando people are crying about .

Just telling people to stop attaching sentiments and emotions in investment, especially stocks.
Because the owners are emotionless businessmen.

Just make your money and look away.

Just a little over a year ago, Dexter, myself and a few others were almost crucified for speaking out against the "optimism" of a certain Nobody as regards Oando. Aside of the corporate governance issues with the company, as a geologist, it was glaring then that Oando should have renegotiated the ConocoPhillips deal as their purchase price was too high. I exited on the 1st of Sept 2014, and faced the wrath of folks here who were hoping to see Oando at #100 within 6months. Dexter couldnt take the insults and crude remarks from the Oando faithful, he actually stopped posting here. And thus many missed his FO call in June of this year. The price of Crude oil will be bearish for some time to come. If in doubt, google the term "iran oil exports".

Shareholders are the owners, investors should not invest with sentiments but with facts and figures. I owned Oando shares for 20 years right from the days of Unipetrol, but had to sell my total holdings of over 200k units when the future of the company started becoming bleak.
