BIAFRA SET TO BECOME THE NEWEST NATION ON EARTH.Since 1990, 34 new countries have been created. The dissolution of the USSR and Yugoslavia in the early 1990’s caused the creation of most of the newly independent states.
1. Armenia
2. Azerbaijan
3. Belarus
4. Estonia
5. Georgia
6.Kazakhstan
7. Kyrgyzstan
8. Latvia
9.Lithuania
10. Moldova
11. Russia
12. Tajikistan
13. Turkmenistan
14. Ukraine
15. UzbekistanFormer YugoslaviaYugoslavia dissolved in the early 1990’s into five independent countries.
16/17.). Bosnia and Herzegovina, February 29, 1992
18.) Croatia, June 25, 1991
19.) Macedonia (officially The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) declared independence on September 8, 1991 but wasn’t recognized by the United Nations until 1993 and the United States and Russia in February of 1994
20.) Serbia and Montenegro, (also known as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia), April 17, 1992 (see below for separate Serbia and Montenegro entries)
21.) Slovenia, June 25, 1991Other New CountriesThirteen other countries became independent through a variety of causes.
22.) •March 21, 1990 – Namibia became independent of South Africa.
23.) •May 22, 1990 – North and South Yemen merged to form a unified Yemen.
24.) •October 3, 1990 – East Germany and West Germany merged to form a unified Germany after the fall of the Iron Curtain.
25.) •September 17, 1991 – The Marshall Islands was part of the Trust Territory of Pacific Islands (administered by the United States) and gained independence as a former colony.
26.) •September 17, 1991 – Micronesia, previously known as the Caroline Islands, became independent from the United States.
27.)•January 1, 1993 – The Czech Republic and Slovakia became independent nations when Czechoslovakia dissolved.
28.) •May 25, 1993 – Eritrea was a part of Ethiopia but seceded and gained independence.
29.) •October 1, 1994 – Palau was part of the Trust Territory of Pacific Islands (administered by the United States) and gained independence as a former colony.
30.) •May 20, 2002 – East Timor (Timor-Leste) declared independence fromPortugal in 1975 but did not became independent from Indonesia until 2002.
31.) •June 3, 2006 – Montenegro was part of Serbia and Montenegro (also known as Yugoslavia) but gained independence after a referendum.
32.) •June 5, 2006 – Serbia became its own entity after Montenegro split.
33.) •February 17, 2008 – Kosovo unilaterally declared independence from Serbia.
34.) •July 9, 2011 – South Sudan peacefully seceded from Sudan following a January 2011 referendum. Sudan itself was the first to recognize South Sudan and did so one day early, on July 8, 2011.Nigeria embraces more than 40 ethnic groups and languages lumped crudely together by colonial mapmakers. There is nothing wrong with demanding for a secession in a peaceful manner. In a sane country, most secession and agitation for autonomy does not have to result in bloodshed… so enough of the constant ranting about Biafra in relation to war.Ethiopia allowed Eritrea to peacefully secede in 1991, though they later started having a boundary dispute.A peaceful secession, like when Czechoslovakia broke up, or when Montenegro left its federation with Serbia to become independent for the first time since 1918…and many others.

When Ojukwu couldn't break Nigeria when it was a great nation. How is it now that both 'nations' are poor?

Yoruba as usual...injecting themselves into a cause that has absolutely nothing to do with them. You don't have to comment...you can open the thread, look and leave like other non biafran tribes do.

I see my province...Calabar. Team Biafra!

Yoruba...as usual asking stu$pid question. Before they were asking is Rivers part of Biafra? But after seeing the massive crowd in Port Harcourt in solidarity with Nnamdi Kanu and restoration of Biafra, they have now moved the post to....Is Warri part of Biafra? Someone should post a pic of the huge crowd in Delta.

gab264, in the interest of the dignity of Igbo Nation you've got to modify your map asap by detaching especially the westward/southward ethnic nationalities. Igbos don't need them. They should be the ones begging to belong.

If you can't adjust your map simply delete it and stop insulting the sensibilities of Igbo Nation by giving these groups the guts to create unnecessary attentions for themselves as if a sane adult can be coerced to befriend another.

There's freedom of association and so they are ever free to face North or OduaArewanistan republic where they are highly needed as loyal subjects.

I didn't see Benin/Edo province in that map, or is Edo not part of Biafra?...there is no sense being against people who want to govern themselves. FG should grant them independence or restructure Nigeria into semi independence regions via referendum to allow each region govern themselves in their own way.

Sh!tbos and emotions.
Did you even answer the questions after the whole wordy emotional fits you threw.

I really am not the type to question where Biafra land stops at, most Yorubas do not care as long as you do not touch any Yoruba territories - we class sh!tbos, anang, efik etc as sh!tbos anyways.

The reason I ask is, Itsekiri have Yoruba ancestry, share Yoruba culture and identify with Yoruba. I wonder how it slipped into Biafra's list?

There will be referendum. Any of the SS states minus Edo except Igbo speaking part, have the freedom to choose if they want to stay with Nigeria, form their own republic or join other breakaway countries...Odua or Arewa. Biafra is for equity, justice and pursuit of happiness. We don't hold people's destiny and don't you dare to hold ours either....Freedom!

It's okay but let that clause be maintained whenever such map is drawn for clarity sake.

You should know that many of these groups who maintained empires in the past and were used to land grabbing and enslavement of their neighbours mischievously now tag Igbos who had no such history as land-grabbers.
They even take the madness further by claiming that Igbos want their crude oil when in reality Igboland has abundance of hydrocarbons. And more than 85% of the oil wells are in the hands of their North/SW masters who loot the commonwealth to better their own region, religion and elites.

So we need to be cautious when dealing with such individuals. Strange bedfellows are not meant to be together!

Nop I doubt if this comment is really coming from an (Igbo" because we don't have an issue with them, infact they are friendly and more understanding than the yorubbers and hausas.
That map has been there before me.
So I have no rigth to judge what I saw in there.
We have agreed to withdraw from zoogerian with our brothers from the south south, because we mostly share the xame language, we understand ourselves better unlike yorubbers and hausas.
I knew what yaa intention is,but am assuring you, that your plan is not gonna work.
We are strongly united to be separated, no amount of propaganda can divide SS/SE.

There is always a first time. And if Biafra emerges today, it would be wrong to say she did it peacefully. Remember that between 1967-70, Biafrans wrote their history with their own blood in a bitter war.
