As expected the court has ordered for fresh elections. As an ardent follower of south south politics, I can boldly tell you that PDP is firmly rooted in that region, and somehow most of the grassroot people of Rivers tend to see Wike as more of their person than Amaechi. In my opinion, Wike would be re-elected, though with a small margin this time. Dakuku would get most of the Riverine vote, while Wike would get most of the upland (ikwerre) vote, and he's also get some riverine votes. Dakuku has won where he can win ( the tribunal) except APC and Amaechi rig the election, Wike would be re elected.

That was how they said the tribunal will give it to WIKE, please nothing is guaranteed, the increase of crime in Rivers State is attributed to WIKE though not proven.

Whoever said the tribunal would give it to Wike wasn't being sincere considering what we saw during the elections.

There are a lot of things on ground in that state to make anyone who knows that terrain sure that Wike would win. Wike is a grassroot man like Fayose just that he's more rugged nd talks less than Fayose. There's even the fear of voting against Wike amongst some people who are Dakuku supporters.
Amaechi wouldn't have been governor without Wike's rigorous campaigning for him. Wike was his campaign director. If there's one rivers man who knows how to get votes it's Wike.

With this judgement it simply reveals the A/Ibom tribunal was economical with the truth. Was the election that brought Wike in free and fair? no!
Would Wike have won the election without rigging? Yes, but not with the margin appropriated to him by the INEC. I am from the Niger Delta which is pro-PDP, so that is why I find it numbing for the senseless rigging our politicians engage in, as a Nigerian all I want is free, fair and credible elections to move our country forward.

Whoever wins in the rerun will be victory for democracy,what Nigerians are against is not allowing the vote of the electorate to count. Though it is an exercise that will lead to waste of funds & time on both sides but it is good for our democracy . God bless the judiciary

Really don't know much about Rivers politics, all I just wish is they should not shed more innocent blood all because of power . The way Nigerian politics and judiciary is going we ar yet to attain full indepence of the judiciary, anyways the best candidate should win the re-run
