I just dont understand how sane and educated people should be supporting that kind of election and be lying to our faces that the election was peaceful and Wike was validly elected.

We must as a people set a precedence that is decent and defensible.

If we allow the GEJ regime to go away with the bastadized elections in Rivers and Akwa Ibom, how can we justly prevent PMB from doing his own in the future??

Only elections that substantially follows due process must stand! (perfect election is quite impossible)

Infact I will even love to see a Nigeria where election riggers and manipulators are disqualified from running in a rerun, this will make those desperate politicians think well before throwing caution to the wind. Imagine the number of people that lost their lives because of that silly election that is been cancelled now.

The logic is not to win elections at all cost but to win in accordance with the laid down laws and electoral guidelines. BE EDUCATED.

Olodo...I expected you to correct the error, there is no supreme court in this regard, only court of appeal. Its shows you don't even understand what you are supporting, you just following the crowd.

Ain't a fan of wike but i am certain if the election is conducted 100 times, he will still win. A singular reason for this is the same hatred of some NL members towards Amaechi. Even if wike is the devil, these set of folks are hell bent on seeing Amaechi's preferred candidate fail woefully. Wike owns Rivers for now.

That Akwa Ibom submission is at variance with the submission of the River state court of Appeal.

#AkwaIbom: The card reader was not contemplated by section 49 of the Act on accreditation.
#AkwaIbom: That INEC press release cannot override section 41 of the Electoral Act on accreditation.

#AkwaIbom: but the silly Akwa Ibom tribunal failed to realise that it is the same Electoral Act that gives INEC the authority to conduct a free and fair election. Even though the Electoral Act did not expressly permit the use of Card readers/bar the use of card readers, it has given INEC the mandate to conduct the election and INEC can do so within the ambits of the law!

#AkwaIbom: That Akwa Ibom Election tribunal must be revisited and the records set straight.

If APC appropriately appeals that Akwa Ibom judgement, they should be able to get a full re-run in all the Local Governments. This does not mean APC stands a chance at all in the election, but things most be done properly!

Those two elections (Akwa Ibom and Rivers) were a total sham and an embarrasment to democratic process.

What marvels me is that why rig an election that you most likely will win??

This is a victory for democracy. The age and time of senseless rigging is over! If you dont win clearly, then you stand a chance to rerun.

In the future sef, there should be a law barring those that engages in manipulations from contesting reruns.

This is exactly what I was telling my friend that if tribunal grants full rerun of elections in rivers, then APC should challenge the ruling on Akwa ibom and get full rerun also.

^^^Because they are a party of desperadoes!

What i see here is that we in the South (especially South East and South South)....our ranks are easily infiltrated by those that wish the status-quo maintained! They feel there's always one or two of us available to work against our political and economic emancipation (eg: Rochas, Ngige and Amaechi)!

Whereas, head to the North and you'll notice they're more or less a solid unified block when it comes to protecting and advancing their own interests!

When they want to deceive the gullible ones among us, they come under a number of guises; eg: liberators; change agents; employers and many other deceptive terms, and without much effort they manage to ensnare a few daft ones among us and thus perpetuate their hegemony!

We are our own worst enemies!

I know. This is sufficient for me, for now. The point is, you can hardly state with absolute certainty which side the political pendulum swings these days. We saw that before the general elections when you guys swore Buhari would never become the president, and we've seen it now. The problem is, it appears you guys are really hard of learning- I see some of yall (PDP supporters) insisting PDP will win the 2019 presidential poll. Haba, where una dey get una own analysis from??

Wike could win a re-run (that is if he's not made to face charges of corruption while he superintended over the Education ministry), but a bold statement has been made by the tribunal- impunity and lawlessness won't be rewarded. Even international observers condemned what happened in Rivers as a complete sham in their official statement. I remember how Wike went ranting angrily on Channels during the election when he was asked to comment on the statement of the international observers during the election period. He opined that their assessment was useless and we don't need external monitors to tell us how credible or otherwise our elections are- the same external observer role which you people's role model is playing in Tanzania (correct me if I'm wrong) today that has drawn deafening cheers from you guys.

For what it's worth, I'm satisfied with this, uhuru or not.

We'll meet at the polls bro.
