Lol. Not at the final stages like that yet ooo. I am writing my research proposal. Maybe I shd have just said I have decided on schools to appy to and working on application now. I never finalize at all. Where are u hoping to go to and how is it progressing? I am working on my application to university of manitoba, university of victoria. most schools required a copy of previous reseach work by applicant. My copy of undergraduate project was destroyed in a fire incident. CoCoLav: |

Hi peeps. Am happy to see that the thread is moving, new monikers everywhr, that's good. Left Naija in part 8. Great work thesoj, montrealer and all them oldies. Whr is Tnuola and the rest. School is not easy here o, u have to buckle ur shoes tight. And pls make sure u pay ur fees before leaving naija or up to say 75% of it. Working to pay fees here is very difficult, not impossible though, but some of us may not even have the heart to carry it. The best thing that can happen to an international student here is to be on scholarship, but if u can't get one just try pay ur fees. Generally Toronto is alright, organised society and friendly people everywhere, just a bit congested in terms of population but it's not like u keep bumping into pple everywhr u turn, maybe in terms of jobs. In all, it's a good country whr things work and pple are orderly. Above all come with God, with Him on ur side u can do all things. By the way, Cocolav, Taike, Team12, Santohfilz, Anugoson are all my paddys here. Great pple! 17 Likes |

wayaa007: How can you request your gcms file even if you're not refused a visa? I think a gcms file reflects the vo comment on your application weather successful or d other way round. |

Happy sunday good people, Yesterday was my birthday and i was execeited cos i message from Naira land. Thank you all. I have applied to U of Regina and i also want to apply to these schools and i have a question Uni of Winnipeg - Diploma in HR Seneca College - HR management certificate (graduate certificate) Conestega college - HR Management ( Graduate certificate) they all require a degree result and transcript for application. My questions are: 1 - Are they lower than a degree 2 - Assuming i get an admission to any of the schools and i deceide to apply visa, will i be rejected being that the course is below a degree. I am 2005 gradute..Being working since 2008 in HR. 32yrs Thank you all for your candid response |

Hello Nairaland, I am from India. I used the forum while applying for Tier 4 visa for my masters in UK last year. Now I am just came back as a graduate. Members like justwise helped me big time during my UK visa process. Now my wife will be going to Canada to do her masters and I am planning to go with her as a dependent in open work permit. And my visa worries started again. She got a letter of acceptance today for January intake on a 2 year masters degree. We will do our upfront medical test this week. She already got police clearance. I will be getting shortly. Our plan is to apply for visa during the first week of November. At the current situation, here are my questions. 1) to apply together or I should apply after she got her study permit? 2) if I should apply after her approval, should I apply directly for open work permit or apply for TRV first and apply for OWP after reaching Canada.? Finances We have total of $24000 CAD in my wife's account. This excludes the $13000 which will be paid by me as her first year tuition fee. In the $24k we will get a GIC for 10k to show for he expenses. So she will be having $14k in her account. 3) The funds in her account is not consistent for 4 months so what can we do alternatively to show the visa officer that we have it? 4) I have $10k in my bank account in UK for the.past 15 days. How can I show this as a proof of funds to support myself? Note- We have a 1 year old daughter who will be staying back in india with her grand parents. She will join us after I get job there. She will not be accompanying us at this stage. Whatelse we can do to increase our chances of getting approved. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Khalesi: 4:37pm On Oct 25, 2015 |
chigoziri7:Happy belated birthday dear. I do not think those qualifications are below a degree, if they were, they won't be requesting for degree transcript. Remember that applications are different. Where's someone else may be denied based on 'purpose of visit' with such circumstance, another may not be denied. The answer I think lies in the strength of your SOP. Can you convince the VO beyond reasonable doubt that this qualification is what your career needs at this time? 1 Like |
