BREAKING NEWS:

*RESUMPTION FOR SECOND SEMESTER ( 2014/2015 ACADEMIC SESSION) REMAINS NOVEMBER 1,2015;LECTURES TO COMMENCE NOVEMBER 9,2015.

The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife still maintains her earlier announcement that resumption date for the Second semester 2014/2015 academic session is, and still remains November 1,2015.
In reaction to the management's decision and position,the ASUU Chairman,OAU Chapter, Dr. Aborisade informed OAU Students' Union President Yesterday via a phone call that even if school resumes for Second semester by November1,lectures would not commence until November 9th,2015.
It would be recalled that earlier this week, the Students' Union Academic committee issued a release on resumption.
They highlighted the academic calendar for Second semester, November 1,2015 was put to be resumption date. They, however promised OAU Students that if there would be any change in the academic calendar for 2014/2015 Academic session's second semester, the students would be well informed.

ACJ NEWS REEL gathered from a reliable source that as at last week, OAU Lecturers demanded 30 days rest starting from the date of the close of First semester(2014/2015 academic session) activities which the Management rejected- this action left the students to speculate that resumption date should be November 15,2015.

However with recent clarifications made by ASUU Chairman, ACJ NEWS REEL is glad to inform OAU students that the Resumption date for second semester remains November 1,2015 but lectures would commence by Nov. 9, 2015, and rumors enveloping the air that the Resumption date for second semester is November 15,2015 is untrue.

If there is any change in the calendar, ACJ NEWS REEL would do well to inform the generality of OAU Students.

Apparently OAU is not graduating any set this year same as my school (ATBU).

We resumed last monday 19th. Lecture starts next tomorrow.

That's actually the reason I post this here, this one is genuine but am not sure of the genuinty of that bro....

According to the Senate release which is liable to change anytime soon, this session ends Feb 20...
