CabbieAC: Fayose just de weak me everyday. the state that fayemi was trying to turn into a developed & civilized state, more like Fayose is " pressing control z" on the legacies of fayemi. everyday is eating amala & climbing trees/trailers. mcheew. the most annoying one is Osun state. I still don't know what's holding that state down. (portraying itself like an average northern state). Osun got what it takes to compete with the top 8 states. mineral resources, human and the environment is there. the only drugs/ antidote for ekiti & osun state is to woo investors. they need industries/companies to curb unemployment and boost igr. and they need to start exploring the resources in those states to boost there GDP. not waiting on FG allocation. as for Oyo state, I don't know what's still obstructing the state not to generate at least 80-100b as revenue. Ogun too can do better. 6 Likes |

MayorofLagos: you keep screaming the 'Igbo man is our problem' while your yoruba muslims have always historically jumped into beds with fulanis. Was it the Ibo that ordered you to sell your political cut (speakership) to the Fulanis in house of reps during Gej's regime? That sit was zoned to to the yorubas but Tinubu a muslim sold it to the Fulani caliphate to allow Aminu Tambuwal emerge as Speaker instead of a yoruba and you come out here to claim the Igbo marginalized you? You are sick. Fulanis kidnapped falae, you claimed, it was Igbos who kidnapped him and accused the old man of dementia. Mr man, your problems are self-inflicted. Do a self-assesment and heal yourself. The only practicable way to distance yourself from the Igbo is to ask for your own country, don't seek to control them in your land and still control their resources. The white man couldn't achieve that, you'll obviously fail in that quest. Perish the idea, they don't make good slaves. Sail your ship westwards while they sail theirs Eastward, it will bring mutual respect. 1 Like |

WIZGUY69: Can you produce something out of NOTHING What have we invested in the education of ALL our children in yorubaland since UPN governors were kicked out in Dec. 1983? What have we invested? Which investor will set up in a place with inappropriately skilled labour and insufficient pool of workers? The investor na fool? Even those who are building mansions like Linda Ikeji with her N850 million banana Island villa are not TAXED adequately. IyaIode: If the thread does not address concrete issues about yoruba development it will die a natural death, surely. Quoting facebook posts of DAWN commission that has done NOTHING since 2011 beyond noise for political mileage and celebrating (ALMOST oyinbo)yoruba people who have contributed NOTHING to sustainable development of the homeland is simply a SHAM to intoxicate any empty-headed bragger, of which there are so many among our 200 million mumu fellow citizens hence we are ruled by non-entities whom we lament about aimlessly, unable and unwilling to do anything to change our unfortunate situation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMWUS1W_ITc |

[quote author=anonimi post=39360893 Again, I ask, What have u done to effect positive change? Apart from populating NL with GEJ pictures, what have you done to enhance development in Nigeria as a whole and particularly in Yorubaland? You are just angry that your regular source of N1000 per month has ceased after PDP lost the elections If you dont like this thread, go and start a new one to highlight your concerns Seriously, you should be more concerned about your physical appearance than the future of the Yoruba nation. 4 Likes |

In spite of the numerous economic advantages of the South-West zone, there are less visible signs of economic integration. Each capital city of each State: Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Akure, Ado-Ekiti – constitutes a large market for consumable goods and has already developed a good distributive network. What is therefore necessary is injection of heavy capital to extend commercial activities into the interior parts of the zone. The area which commands priority is road and rail transport. There should be a well developed road system apart from Lagos-Ibadan road A road linking Lagos to Ibadan through Ikorodu, Sagamu and Ijebu Ode should be widened and made more durable. Also, Ibadan should be conveniently linked to Oshogbo, Ilesha, Akure, and Ondo through wider and sturdy roads to facilitate free movement of goods and people within the zone; these will require massive investments by private enterprises and various governments of the zone. 3 Likes |

anonimi: Please, Igbos are too emotional, sensitive, covetous, greedy, and too conceited for anyone to get along with. Even on this forum alone - these traits come to the fore all time. You can't even say something before every Igbo on here will start catching feelings, crying everywhere like someone stole their biscuit. And all of them are the same. Then they've this nauseating crab in a barrel mentality within the Igbo group - hence they all will never agree on one thing. Yorubas, based on their temperament - and Igbos - are two parallel lines that should never meet. It's never going to work. 5 Likes |

MayorofLagos: Why are you such a bloody LIAR? Why? Are Akinwunmi Adesina and Segun Aganga both Igbo? Are many of the achievements of Jonathan in reviving our industries, economy and agriculture not attributable to these people as sampled in the 15 pages of the thread below https://www.nairaland.com/2117791/achievements-jonathan-sambo-administration-pictures Moreover, did our de facto Asiwaju of yoruba politics not deny our sister, Hon. Mulikat Akande the #4 position that Jonathan had nominated her for in favour of Tambuwal? So who marginalised yorubas at the federal level in the last dispensation, 2011-2015? Who? 1 Like 2 Shares |

ProfShymex: I am resisting the temptation of yabbing you big time, seriously. May I ask you to find out the lingusitic link between Igbo and Yoruba words showing more similarities and recent separation than most are aware of or willing to acknowledge? Cheers. Again, in 2011 Tinubu ordered yorubas to vote for Jonathan who was also voted for by the Igbos, so In 2015 it was the yorubas, led by Tinubu, who aligned with the North to ensure Buhari's victory. Do you dispute the two statements above? |
