Very soon someone here will open a thread that is free to share all the info. Someone surely sounds like an agent... And seriously some of the posts do not make sense in all honesty. Lemme not mention name before dey beat me. Justwise take a moment and figure out what d way out is. Strike a balance. So we don't discourage people about researching. I think researching makes better sense when u have used the place or someone has... Then u can beat ur chest and say no hidden charges and bla bla.. So we don't go based on ur incomplete info and get surprised. It's not just about calling the hospital and then coming here to type what u heard. Trust me is beyond that. 2 Likes |

Hello to the gurus and Nairaland family. I am grateful for all the information on the trend which I took advantage of although I have been a silent observer. So to give back here is my POE story! Flew BA on the 21st of Oct from Abuja to London transit to Altanta. ( requested for wheelchair service but didn't get because of my 17month infant) so I had to walk all the way cos I checked in my stroller all the way to Atlanta. On arrivals noticed I had to input my details on a computer but got a cancellation on my ticket(because my facial features weren't rightly done) after registering my detail /biometric ( same info as in landing card). The wait was like 1:30mins , cos they had to stamp the people who had no cancellations on their receipt/ticket and then the US citizens. I was asked to join the queue cos they noticed I was pregnant and sweating like a Christmas fowl lol! Wen i approached the CBP I heard the other office whisper it's a 7! The guy responded let's see how it plays out. CBP: why are you going to Houston? Me: for child birth CBP: how long are you here for? Me: four months CBP: where will you be staying? Me: with my relative CBP:how much cash do you have on you Me:$1400 CBP: how will you be paying for your bill? Me: I have a form A from my bank to settle my hospital bill and I have my card for my dr's bill upon arrival. CBP: he calls out to someone saying she's a yellow and Sends me for secondary inspection. Met other people waiting and after 5mins I was called CBP: why are you here? Me: for child birth CBP: do you have a Dr confirmed ? Me: shows him Dr F's correspondence and package CBP:how much cash do you have on you? Me: $1400 CBP: how will you be paying ? Me: dr's fee via my card Upon arrival and hospital via my form A which I will scan to my hubby after getting all the details completed. ( trying to bring out my statement and cards he waves at me to forget it) CBP: stamps me and my daughter for 6 month , wished me safe delivery and told me to always carry my receipt every time I travel . I thank God for favour and journey mercies as I am settled in Houston after spending the night in Atlanta. Dr's Appointment is next week. Using Oak bend and already opened an accnt and dr's fee is ready for 20% discount. Wishing other mums a safe trip and success POE story as well as safe delivery. 15 Likes |

My thoughts exactly. It has become obvious that the opinions of active thread members are falling on deaf ears, I just feel really sad for those coming behind Because in the long run there will be no useful recent information. Biko let me return to my tea and biscuit observation mode oh. oyin3: 5 Likes |

Popri:. Can't remember the exact prices but 5-6bottles of the wash and shampoo, and 3 bottles of lotion could serve you for a year...they range from 6$ to 12$ each...compare prices on amazon and walmart before buying....N.B...for the first few weeks, natural oils like coconut or olive oil seem to be best for babies skin..A black nurse advised me on olive oil...got it for $10 from the food section @ Walgreens...was very good for my LO's skin. 1 Like |

I have fought the good fight and I've finished the race…. - (@ least season 1 ) Dear N/landers, Many thanks for all your useful tips, suggestions and info. I have completed my tour of duty @ the front and returned home with the spoils... I received mini-shawlar’s ETC on Monday and flew back to Nigeria on Tuesday (20/10) using United. I had called them 2 days earlier to request a bassinet & they upgraded wifey and I to economy plus seats cos of that. They didn’t upgrade my mother’s seat though and when I got to the airport and requested for them to do so, the airline official said it’ll cost $159 . I just told her not to worry cos I could see the seating chart and realized there were lots of unassigned seats. At the end of the day, the flight was just over half-full and there were a lot of empty seats, so I just did self-upgrade . The flight was smooth and uneventful. The immigration officer @ MMA II didn’t even ask for my baby’s documents;when she had finished stamping all 3 passports (mum, wifey & I), she just waved us along; I had to open the etc which was folded and wave it in her face saying ‘how about this?’ She went, ‘oh, for the baby?’ and then she took it, stamped and kept it. (I still have a photocopy though) Special thanks to phema, favoredgal, nasadiva, nogen, anonymousmum and of course firstty, nefertitiram and the 3-star general - @olokings 15 Likes |

O ga I am just looking @ all the current proceedings .. Looking like this thread is going to slolwy die. Smh.. I have been follwoing this thread for some months now. Even though I had my 1st missionary trip in maryland(I didn't know about this then and I actual told them outrightly @ embassy I was going to birth my baby in 2013)I can never forget the look on the face of the vo. Even at that I have learnt so much from ths thread it would be sad to see it go I really think the moderator should try and come to a compromise so as to please everyone contributing to the existance of this thread. 6 Likes |

duntano: That is not possible even Jesus was unable to achieve that. Not every decision will be acceptable by all and this issue is been blown out of proportion. |

nefertitiram:It's the first result because you are googling from Nigeria. Google serves you what they consider the relevant info first e.g location based info first And I can assure you for every 10 pms you responded to at least 4 were agents sowhere is the win win? Infact na agents dey pm pass. This is great news for every agent!!!! In my opinion because the info is no more out there, people will be needing these agents more 6 Likes |

Justwise so what's ur conclusion. No more researching on Hospitals? Or is that we can but not over do it... In the sense that we can post researched Hospitals that has been tested and trusted, buy also has not been used here before. And if it's a popular Hospital but a different Dr... Then we work with initials. |
