The federal university of technology akure duped Nigerian student by collecting #10 000 from each candidates that his/her name fail to appear on the merit admision list.an information was sent to student who chooses FUTA as the most preferred choice in JAMB whose name doesnt appear on the merit list to apply for a change of course form and to choose a new courses they will like to apply for .They also listed the number of candidates that are eligible for it.FUTA said if all protocols are dully observed by the student,they will all be given admission.protocols like selecting the courses that matches your subject combinations,scoring the cut off marks established by the school authority in which over 2700 student did and still,over a thousand candidates who have followed the protocols are not been admitted.am also a victim of this . i have observed and followed d protocols and instructions given by futa.and yet,i have not been admitted which is now in contrary to the instructions given to us.FUTA assured us admission if we do adhere to their instructions but they dont do anymore.so,i thereby plead for the help of NIGERIANS to please intervene in this matter for the sake the over thousand candidates who have paid and are not ready to forfeit this year admission because it is the only hope for us.we cant afford to miss it this year cause time wait for no man.we need drastic actions to this situation.THANKS

Right now, I'm just doing my best to get admission this year by God's grace cos Nigerian youths can be pathetic in issues like this. You'll think their dads are shareholders in FUTA.

I mean will one get automatically ruled out after getting a new score in the exam?

And I hope the score wouldn't replace ones score in the previous exam written?

I know what it feels like not to see ones name on the admission list especially if one has a higher mark in post utme exam. I know what it feels like to read for an exam & if nothing good shows up at the end, its only frustrate someone, but i will like to advice you guys to exercise patience & pray hard. But the o'level is my problem now I have maths ba3, eng b3, econs b3 govt c6, and comm c5 but my account and biology I hav e8 and d7 respectively pls do u think I will hav issues with ssce screening cos I didn't see comm as a Requirement..pls wat do u think...will the comm be a problem or will dey consider d7 in Biology

You do not need to pass Accounting in O levels to study Economics in school, your SSCE economic grade will suffice.

You think it's funny to have a high score and get overlooked in favor of those with much lower ones.
I've seen people with around 70% aggregate still waiting for same course people with lower scores have since sealed.

I'm also not very sure those foreign sites he mailed can be of help though, but at least he tried.

if dat be the case,why didnt they set a departmental cut off which every candidates can knw where he truely belong.if d candidates find out that his/her his aggregate cant do any of the courses available,,that wen he/she can quit .i ave a question to ask u,after d eligibility list was out,was anoda exam conducted?wat makes dem said we are eligible?to dupe us i guess.why will they paste names they aint gonna admit when admit when they ave their quota they musnt exceed

I understand you folks feel seriously disgruntled and shortchanged but you have to cut FUTA some slack here, the truth is, inspite of your good aggregate score FUTA can't take beyond whatever limit the institution can absorb annually. You wanna know why candidates with lesser scores seem to have been admitted while those with higher score are still looking up to God for an answer? The answer is called Quotasystem; FUTA is a federal university and by rule is obligated to admit students based on the quota system. I hope you know what quota system means in this context?
Sending complaints to BBC and FOX news is baseless and an obvious lack of foresight. There are better avenues to make your grievances felt if you really think FUTA defaulted on their earlier promise.
