Don't get that part. How do you get discount for a hospital you've not used or don't intend using?

The only agent that advertises on this thread as far as am concerned, ie doctoresparati , offer Money for referral so what are we talking about?

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Bisoye82: 10:20pm On Oct 26, 2015
Good evening my people.
Please I noticed that doctoresparati has changed from Del Sol to Sierra Medical Centre and when I compared the 2 hospitals on healthgrades it seems Del Sol has more awards and recognition.
My question is for mama's and papa's in El paso recently and currently; is there much difference between the 2 hospitals because from past threads everyone has nice reviews about Del Sol.
Looking forward to your opinions and updates.
Thanks

Ok I have gone through all the posts here and it boils down to the sort of info to share.
Somebody talked about Dr's review but I don't know how that will workout because two people may use the same Dr but come out with two different experiences. In such case it will be difficult to review that Dr.

Yes people will benefit from sharing hospital cost and names but I have issue with people sharing price quotes they recieved privately from a hospital/ Dr then ask people to PM them for that Dr's contact details.

I also have problem with people who recommend Dr and hospital they never used purely because they will get discounts for introducing more clients.

Like I said before the issue is not about sharing info as some keep saying but how much info is the issue here.

Anybody with suggestions how to strike a balance here?
Doctors review will definitely work cos yes 2 people may have contrary reviews about a particular doctor. These reviews will definitely be informative since its based on experience so one is left with a choice to either go for or opt out cos of its practicality.

For hospital names and prices, one can state the hospital name and a price range not a definite quote. E.g kansas hospital is approx 10,000$ for Cs. It's now left for interested parties to do further research on the cost breakdown and hospital contacts etc

For those who recommend docs they have never used just for discounts/commission, maybe an outright ban will do.

Yes I do.
Testimonial posts should include:
Visa procedure
POE experience
Name of Doc
Name of Hosp
Costs
Processes involved eg how bills were pd, discounts, getting baby papers etc.

The suspicious posts of "I found a place in toronto for $300, PM me for details" can be hidden
It's either you share or you don't share, not half half info or I heard bout this hosp or this doc with no first hand info can be hidden at your discretion.

The agents taking info and selling it as their packages, there is nothing you can do about it. It's part of the downside.

I hope I have spoken as Jega, and will be able to pacify both sides.

Let me interrupt the debate once again. For oakbend peeps, while paying for brown and associates bill for mother and child, ask for discount. Even though the bill is usually small, less than $150 most times, der is discount for self pay. I was given $113.50 for mother and child bill but I asked for discount and ended up paying $67.50. Firsttymum I know this info will be so so useful to you grin. This is the number I called 713 559 6929. Oya munch it asap lol.

For example, there is ds particular Dr.A that has agents everywhr. When u get his quotation you will see a part whr dre is $500 admin fee. Admin fee for what?

When someone refers you to a doc and tells you please mention my name.

When you contact him he will ask for who referred you. Isn't that a form of business/agent arrangement?

I found a Dr or Hosp in bla bla bla or I got accommodation in bla bla bla.. Pm me for details is bull crap... If it's transparent tested and trusted... Then share it here.

Then these accommodation agents or "Americanas" or opportuned Americanas taking advantage of pregnant women will continue to do so since "u guys" enjoy the "pm me for details". Imagine someone telling you to pay rent of e.g 800 (for one room u r sharing with him/her).. u r excited to pay because it's cheaper than everywhere u have searched. What you don't know is that, that's the total rent plus miscellaneous bill for the whole house for that month....

Tested and trusted information should be shared here... With further information like how to go about baby's documents and everything Nefertitiram said.

That is not always the issue hence my concern, some use 3rd party experience to review a Dr. If it's based on personal experiences then there is no prob.

can i pm you please @kiboe?

kiboe:
I arrived Houston from Lagos couple of days back,my POE experience was totally uneventful,Praise God!!!'

Cbp:morning,what are you here for
Me:childbirth
Cbp:huh?
Me:to have my baby
Cbp:Ahha...takes my picture and fingerprint and sends me off to secondary inspection

I wait for about 3mins,

Cbp:Morning
Me:morning,I bring out my document bag containing all my docs which I had carefully arranged with post it and colourful highlighters(this was suppose to psychologically attract the cbp,it worked!)
Cbp:Can I have that?goes through them...I wish all passengers were this prepared it make the job easy(I see you have not encountered any NL mamas I think to myself)
Cbp:how long are you staying for?
Me 4 months
Cbp:do you have a return ticket?
Me:yes,I point it out to him
Cbp:what hospital are you using?
Me:OMC
Cbp:how much is it gonna cost you?
Me:I have prepared a budget sheet for my entire stay,it is attached to the doctor's correspondendence,I have excess the amount I have stated there in cash and in case something comes up,I have more on my card.

Takes me to another room to count my cash, gives me the "get your zero balance receipt","don't take any form of aid the hospital will try to push on you" talk and stamps me in for 6months.

Off to Agriculture,wasn't searched!

I had initially typed out a more detailed info about my experience but I mistakenly hit the back button,Sigh!oh well....God has been faithful I begged him for divine favour and he delivered....in this blue Pali sojourn, three things are important.PRAYER, PRAYER & PREPARATION.

I was going to say that accommodation is where @justwise and NL should be looking at for revenue. Nowadays, people prefer to rent than stay with relatives (not that you can blame them).
Sometimes I think that PM thing is a scam honestly. I prefer you ask or say what you want here. (transparency)

My sentiments exactly... so therefore if recommendation is based on experience, reviews too should be based on experience. It shouldn't be my brother's wife, or my mother's son etc.

Just like the lovely lady who shared her shoddy treatment from DR. F. I'm sure some learnt and ported while some still went with their gut feeling and used him.
TBH I don't like parapo things, I just like to be fair.

Oh I see... I never knew I was going to Chicago until last minute and trust me when I say every Nigerian (old and young) I met in Chicago asked me the same question and were surprised when I said No.
So other than the fact that he asked who referred you ( and your church member's experience), you don't have a personal experience with him?
