The truth be. told, Anambra account is red.

JUSUN, has been on strike for a month plus..

Primary school students are to pay 5000 naira for books starting from January.

ABS workers will soon be retrenched and directed to start working with 'Ocha'

ABSTV has not been working for 6 months now.

The truth be told, Obiano is deminishing.

2nd picture down is abandoned project at Depty Governor's village. Enugwu-ukwu close to Nimo/Abagana.

Over the weekend to Monday, i visited home. I must say I'm disappointed with certain things on ground.

- Most refused bins were filled up and overflowing with heaps of dirt scattered around them. Especially in Awka.
- Okada men still ply the express road and other major roads in Awka. I thought they've been banned from plying the major roads?
- With the spate of tanker accidents on Anambra roads of recent, one would expect that movement of heavy duty trucks should be restricted to evening and night times. But i still saw them driving on high speed especially on the newly reconstructed express in Awka. Is obiano not tired of paying condolence visits to families of tanker accidents victims?
- The issue of the Nkpor flyover area is probably the most annoying. Apart from the huge gully, the putrid smell emanating from the refuse dump by the roadside is so disheartening. It seems we don't have competent hands to manage the ministry of environment in Anambra.

Although i noticed some positive developments in some other areas of the state, the negative stuff i saw just ruined it all for me.
Lastly, anybody close to Obiano should advice him to pull out the stupid "willie is working" sign posts scattered all over the state. They are so annoying. I saw one of those sign posts planted beside a very bad portion of the Ifite Unizik road around the 5 decking area. I was like, wtf? Even the entrance to the commissioners quarters from Ifite is very bad at the moment. What's going on really
Thank you my Ozubulu brother! I said exactly the same thing and one ewu NOBLEDANDY labelled me a non-igbo.

Poor channelling of flood water again is another problem here!......I must be honest with you to say that most of these so called erosion sites in Anambra State/Nigeria are man made!..... I am very surprise at the level of negligence now taking over govt!. This should not have reached to this level, if Obiano's commissioner of Environment & that of Works are leaving up to expections!.We don't want more life lost again in Anambra State again because of this, for a lot of people had lost there lives this year already.! They need to be pro-active!. Please Umunnem we must learn to hold any govt of the day to account on every issue where they have failed totally!. This is called constructive criticism! Udo dili unu!. Invest now
a good example was/is the hitherto erosion site at tarzan, nkpor express. the idiots that built that expressway, channeled the drainage just into the adjacent street where one of our houses is. you will even see where the government "drainage" ended and where the people of the area (especially my dad and or neighbour) continued what was meant to be government responsibility. put in lay terms, they basically emptied the drainage into the street and the erosion menance started. we thank God for GEJ, otherwise na minus one house we for get by now.

Finally, Anambra teachers are crrently under salary slash because of laptop policy.

This is a good one. No wonder our students are the best nationwide because we have qualified teachers with full knowledge of computer. The teachers will thank this government for this in the future.

@ Yeske2 do you now see that the deduction is mainly for the teachers and it is because of laptop which is still to their benefit.

The laptop policy and salary slash was against the original plan with Microsoft when Bill Gate wrote Ex Governor and commend him about his Education policy in Anambra(Nigeria). Same thing we witnessed today on inflation of the the three flyovers in Awka. From Original price of 5 Billion to 15Billion.

Let me clear this, with this inflation, ANSG would lose in-terms of re-fund from Federal Government....
1) It's Fed road, they won't pay all as they will send relegate to examine the cost. Prior to outcry of inflation that has littered everywhere, I see ANSG getting a re-fund of less than 5Billion and they're not in the same party.

The laptop policy was a scam which caused an uproar between State Ministry of Education under Prof. Kate Omenugha and Teachers. It took intervention of many to settle the matter because some teacher are aware of former agreement. Remember, some already have lap, but they must pay for the new one.

I wish the best for Anambra and Anambrarians.

God bless Anambra!

FYI: That girl won because she was the most beautiful and most intelligent among them. I watched it on Silverbird, her accent is very posh and endearing ahead of all, that was why she beat her fellow contestants. Do you know her dad is a professor? Do you think everybody is a suffering Lagos hustler like you?

SEPIP commend Obiano's education innovation

World Bank State Education Programme Investment Project, SEPIP, team has commended the State government for some innovations being carried out in schools in the rural areas of the state.

The team leader SEPIP Project, Mr Rajeen Appasamy, made the commendation during the team’s field visit to some schools in Awka North local Government Area.

Queen Anigbogu reports that Mr Appasamy, who listed the innovations to include feeling up of teaching vacancies, renovation of dilapidated school structures among others said these projects are impressive and have the potentials to bear fruits in the future.

He said that the World Bank team is on a field visit to see if the interventions they agreed on with some selected state governments in Nigeria are being implemented, the progress of the projects and the support needed so as to improve the quality of education in the next four years.

The World Bank SEPIP team leader, however added that there is room for improvement to record more progress in the education sector.
In her remarks, the Commissioner for Education, professor Kate Omenugha, said she is ninety per cent satisfied with what schools in the rural areas are doing with the school Based Management Committee, grants given to them but added that there is room for improvement.

While noting that the state government is doing a lot in the area of capacity building for teachers and students, professor Omenugha disclosed that Governor Willie Obiano recently signed a memo to take the state Debate team to Croatia to represent Nigeria in an international debate competition.

In the schools visited, Community Secondary School Amansea, Ebenebe Community Secondary School and Community Primary School Two, Ebenebe, the World Banks team interacted with the Principals, Head Teacher and teachers and under took a facility tour for an on-the-spot assessment of the state government’s intervention in those schools.
In their separate remarks, the Principals of the Schools visited, Mrs Christian Arogwu and Dr Emma Okoh, said the grants given to them by the state government have been used to refurbish their libraries, sick bays and carry out minor repairs, among others.
They commended the state government for living up to expectations and the World Bank team for their visit.
