This government just have to come up with a loan proposal to the international lenders in the next couple of weeks. They just have to swallow whatever is left of their pride and admit that the job is bigger than them and seek for help quickly.

It's obvious their delusional 'looted trillions' story is in the realm of sophisticated hallucination.

Sharing just $390b as September revenue, with all the fabled 'blockage of leakages' is a sign that things are really getting out of hands.

And then resorting to desperate measures like slamming a whooping $5.2b fine on MTN will only expose Nigeria to vicious attacks from the international business community.

Given that this president is not known to have engaged in any major commercial activity in his entire life, apart from perhaps selling Suya and Fura de Nunu in Daura; not known to have any serious international political, economic, and diplomatic contacts/friends/influence beyond some retired/ancient military co-trainee; and lacking the requisite skill and sophistication to assemble the very best economic team beyond some known average-performed-media-packaged ex-governors and court jesters; navigating through the complex modern economic ecosystem will be a serious challenge.

You don't need to be a prophet to know that by mid-January, if things remain the way they are, there would be serious political backlash even from the most ardent 'Sai-Baba' chanters. Propaganda loses its potency where real hunger pangs begin.

Nobody will take Fayose seriously. Whatever financial calamity we are facing is due to the recklessness of GEJ and the PDP.
There is hope because of PMB's discipline. His cabinet members will fall in line and people are aware that its no longer business as usual.

Paying 5000naira to every unemployed youth, and free food everyday for all public school children, when we are even borrowing to pay salaries.
Let me do my maths again,we have over 30million unemployed youths in Nigeria, Wait!,that means 30,000000*5000=150Billion naira per month=1.8trillion per annum.

And since their are over 54,434 public schools in Nigeria, with each,a population of over 200pupils=10.8Million pupils*200(per meal)=2.1Billion per day=2.1Billion *30days*12months=7.8trillion naira per anum.

That means Amount for youths per anum+ free food for children per anum=1.8trillion +7.8 trillion=9.6 trillion naira,

while Nigerian 2015 total budget is 4.6 trillion naira

V.P Osibanjor with all due respect you Lied, please stop disgracing us Christians, even the bible says Lying is a sin.Abeg go and meet Father Mbaka and confess your sin,u will be forgiving.APC! Change

Those two things Osibanjo said,if he tries it then,Nigeria will be on the Brink.

I can understand you're in serious pain because Baba kicked out GEJ. I empathize.

But if you seriously expect Nigeria to emerge out of the mess of PDP perpetrated over 16 years in just 6 months, then you're incredibly naive.

However i also understand you're not geared for serious discourse, you being a zombie programmed to echo the same childish wailings about Baba's perceived failure.

Thus, i'm not going to engage you cerebrally, you being essentially mindless and brainless. I can only mock your pitiful state of living death, and take pleasure in your pains as you defile every thread with your eternal wailings.

I wish i can humanely put you out of your misery....but i'm sadistically enjoying your pain.

In your retardedd mind, anybody that opposes the senile clueless old fool called Buhari is doing so bc of Gej?
Ain't you idiots tired of repeating that line?

He's only been there for a few months and the economy has nosedived, people losing their jobs like there's no 2moro, coy winding up.
Bokoharam have gained ground and are even producing "ogbunigwe" to wipe you and your entire people off the surface of the earth.

If anybody is in pains, it's obviously you and your fellow stupiid sai baba chanters aka "masturbating masturbators" howling profusely bc the jihadist Buhari is getting a dose of his own medicine.

Let me shout it from the rooftops once more, Buhari is bad luck to Nigeria! cheesy embarassed

The economy will tend toward collapsing as long as states depend on Federal allocations. This is why intelligent people advocate for total federal system in Nigeria especially fiscal faderalism. With this in place, only men and women of ideas equipped with capacity to transform a state economically will aspire to become governor. What is on ground now gives room for any dumder head to become a state governor. It's very care that many states can not exist for a month without allocation from Abuja. This is enough evidence to show that majority of the governors have no idea about to grow the economy of their states. While the talk now is about diversifying the economy, I am yet to see what any state is doing toward achieving this.

It funny when Nigerians fail to rember who brought us to this stage. Its a known fact globally that the price of crude oil is at all time low.The questions we need to ask is what happened to the windfall we had under Jonah with crude selling at an all time high of 140+ per crude.Obasanjo in all his wisdom created the sovereign wealth fund. This was for excess monies derived from crude to be kept for raining days. All Jonah and PDP did was to spend this money or share in their parlance. No tangible national infrastructural was embarked upon.Got us deep into debt which your vilified OBJ brought us out of.You can't blame Buhari for the problems we are facing now.Rather we should all try in our own little ways to salvage our economy.Jonathan PDP destroyed the economy. This is a fact.God will give buhari the wisdom and strength to bring us out.Amen

O ye of little brain keep shut. From late 2013 over 8000 people lost their jobs in the banking sector,10000 in 2014 as of November 2015 4000 so far.I hate it when people for obvious ethnic reasons or being economical with the truth refuse to put the blame where the fault lies.if in your right sense Gej left a strong economy we should not be in this situation irrespective of who is in power. The fact .Jonathan left a terrible economy. all we gained from oil was squandered. I hate it when you guys come out to defend an obviously corrupt government .their is a worldwide over supply of crude.the little we are selling is not able to cater for our foreign exchange needs.Diversification of our economy is the key Jonah destroyed our economy he never saved for the rainy day.some of you know this fact but are just ethnicly disoriented to say the truth.

Simitrendy:

I can't remember when Fayose studied Economics or he's a trained Economist.

For crying out loud, Peter Ayodele Fayose its not Airport Ekiti needs right now.

The one at Akure, isn't even used talk less of EK. OK how many people can afford travelling with Plane in Ekiti?

I want Fayose to remember that Babatunde Omotoba the former Minister of Aviation during Yar'Adua regime is from Ekiti, he promised airport in EKITI but did he fulfill it.

Ekiti economy is poor tho the former Administration of my amiable brother John Kayode Fayemi improved it by collaborating with USAID, World Bank and DFID the list is endless.

By now EKiti ought to have a Shopping Mall. Ekiti Farmers ain't encouraged.

Fayose u just stopped paying for WAEC and NECO for secondary school students.

You know what u and Afe Babalola are great deceivers, Afe will never be my role model. The so called proposed Airport ought to be established where Afe Babalola built his University.

Now his Uni is not affordable for any EKITI indigene.

The best advise I'll give Fayose is that he should work with intellectual minds not like 70 years old Carpenter.

That's not dividend of Democracy.

Move Ekiti to a greater height.

And stop blabbing slanderous comments about people.

Your criticism won't move Buhari neither Fayemi.

Rather u would be tagged as an Attention seeker or Empty Vessel that makes the largest voice.

Shalom grin

How on earth did the ekiti people vote this vagabond to be their governor. PMB might be annoyingly slow to roll out a quick recovery agenda for the economy, lets not forget that PDP laid a foundation of poverty, impunity, lawlesness, violence and economic deprivation that the economy is currently wallowing in.
So far so good, what exactly has been PDP's contribution to reversing the situation after 16 years of economic destruction.
Its amazing that a sitting governor can not marshal a plan to bridge the 1.2 billion naira deficit. Fayose himself is a scam.
