If I may ask, how did you secure tour admission into UQ? Did you use an agent or u did it yourself? I'm hoping UQ=University of Queensland Was English test mandatory for the admission process?? ewagbamio: |

Ifexsco: Hi Ifexsco, Yes. Myself, wife and a child of 2 years plus(not an infant). So we had to pay about 75% of adults' rate for him. No specific policy conditions for a child. They are treated almost as adults. Only infants have specific conditions and seriously cheap fares, I suppose. |

Hello ChetaRay, Please find below answers: 1) plz can sumone write earnings that are lower than 30k per month in that 157A application form.won't it be seen as too small. Answer: there is no problem with the amount on your offer of employment, 30k can do, they just want to know if your work history is proportunate to your proposed program/career prospects. 2) like I asked before not like I ask too much question. can I use an affidavit to back the mistake made in my name in my employment offer letter and promotion letters. and can I also state the mistake and the affidavit back up in my SOP: Answer: I would advice that you get your Office to do the correction, affidavit might raise an eyebrow. 3) does/can ones educational provider share informations with the Pretoria visa office. for example.. if I want to change the CV in which I submitted for admission and anoda for visa application. can it be possible. Answer: School and Protoria has no sharing, School only shares your address and academic information to pretoria after your visa has been granted, also, Pretoria can verify your eCoE only from a common link in Australia Department of Education database. I hope you are fine? wish you luck. chetaRay: |

erictack203:I have a comment on no 3, I'm not saying you're wrong but I know someone that was denied visa and one of the reason is that in his school application he said his father is his sponsor and while applying for visa he wrote company sponsorship, he wasn't elaborate to let them know that the dad is the company director. My opinion is that they share some information |

Good morning NL! Happy new month to everyone, may the month bring good tidings. I have read so many posts on this trend but I think my case is peculiar, not been able to find all answers to my questions. I have over 3 years sales experience of which 1 and half years of it was in the banking industry (Full staff not contract) but I've been out of job for 5 months now (I resigned tho). I have masters already in Information science and first degree in Animal science. After 5 months of idleness I'm tired of sitting at home and thinking of relocating to Australia (Learnt there's so much job opportunities over there and of course a better standard of living). I cant afford their school bills but I'll like to know if I can apply for PR and get to work. Can I be granted based on my courses/work experience and how will I go about it? Please help a bleeding heart, I am seriously at a fix. This issue was my cross over prayer/dilemma. Please don't ignore my post guys, say something and advise me accordingly Thank you and happy Sunday everyone |

Oasoremi: Hi, The links and basic guidelines for PR were posted again a few pages back. I think it was by pingu2k5. Try and find it(you'll do well to take time and go through the thread. You'll also notice the PR gurus on the thread who can help you) or become friends with google. You need to do a lo-o-o-o-o-o-ot of research before you dive in. In a nutshell:- First, check the SOL and CSOL lists and see if there's a skill there you can nominate(based on your education and work experience) Second, find the assessing body for that skill and check their requirements and if you can meet them. Then go on "skill select" and see if you can get enough points based on your current profile(and the assumption of getting a positive assessment from your assessing body and getting the required scores in your English test). This will guide you on the type of visa to aim for. If you have 60points and above, you are good to go. If you have 55, you can request a state/region to nominate you in order to get additional 5points(again, if you meet their own requirements). Then write IELTS or whatever accepted alternative English test and get the scores required to help you get the points you need. You'll then need to forge ahead by getting assessed and submitting an "expression of interest". If you qualify, you'll be invited to apply within a certain time frame. You have the option of doing medicals prior to lodging or you can apply and wait to be advised to do the medicals. After that, comes the waiting... #HopeThisHelps 4 Likes |

2posh, chi50 and other gurus in the house, I want your thoughts on this. I was told to fill in the exact dates my course will begin and end as the dates for intended arrival and departure. Hope it won't affect me as I intend on leaving 3 weeks before the course begins and not immediately after the course ends. Thanks |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by 2posh: 4:43pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Adetoi01: I used a date 2weeks ahead of resumption for entry date and for exit date I picked a date 1 month after school ends. Based on the above, I don't think the dates you pick matter, as long as they are within the allowed 'length of student visa' period that applies to you based on your program start and end dates. Please see below. It's a screenshot of page 4 of the form 157A (the beginning part where you have instructions and information). Please read that part before you fill your form! ***The dates you pick wont affect your visa anyway. I understand you can enter anytime between the grant of your visa and the start of your course as long as it's not more than 3 or 4 months before school starts.(Although, you are not allowed to work until school starts). ***For exit, your visa end date will still be granted based on what applies to you as shown below, which will tally with your OSHC too. #HopeThisHelps

hello mr 2posh, NNBB2012, bossladymo1, please i will humbly need your input on this...am a graduate of geology and have ever since i graduated from the university been searching and scratching for any relevant information that will lead to my permanent migration to australia. i have gone through the (SOL) but unfortunatly my occupation is not listed, but it is listed on the (CSOL). Now problem is, i have alot of confusion with (CSOL) as i dont precisely know if it is state norminated or employer nominated, if it is either of the two, or even both, how then will one get the state or an employer to sponsor him or her. Do you just apply for a job in australia and seek that the employer sponser your visa?......please i crave your soothing comments and inputs on this. |

ugonology: Hi, first of all, 2posh is FEMALE Please read my last post on PR for a general summary of what it entails but don't take my word for it! You need to research, read this thread & identify with the PR gurus here to assist. Here's my 2cents:- If your skill is only on CSOL, one of the groups in below screenshot must nominate you. For that to happen, you need to check out the requirements of any(or all) of them that you are interested in to make sure you qualify. (Google will help you with a list of the states/territories and their websites - which is where you'll find their requirements) When you submit your 'expression of interest' you have to select the ones you are seeking their nomination(I understand there's the option of selecting all of them) *I'm not very conversant with Employer nomination yet. I think you'll need to find an Employer (either while you are inside or outside Australia) to nominate you.* However, with the CSOL and it's accompanying nomination, you'll still need to go through the other steps: English test, skill assessment and all what not. #HopeThisHelps 1 Like

Good evening Nairalanders Happy new month to everyone my name is Abiola and I have been a member of nairaland since 2013. Infact , nairaland helped me to secure UAE visa without hassle and I wanna say a big thank you. Now, I am back from UAE and in Nigeria . I applied to a college in Sydney and I was given admission. I have paid my tuition and OSHC and I have my eCoE. But , there is something that I am so confused about . My Uncle is sponsoring me but he is not using his personal account , but he's using his coperative account . So, I would like to ask everyone with experience about coperative account , what would he state or write in the letter of sponsorship to be willing to sponsor me with the coperative account ? Secondly, my uncle is using his friend's fixed deposit account as co-sponsor . Please, I'm applying for VET 572 visa and my intake is Feb 02, I have all the documents ready but I want to know what to write as a reason for the coperative to be sponsoring me or the relationship I have with them. I'm open to all advices , please Best regards |
